• Fridge Brilliance: The moral of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is It Was with You All Along. Dorothy had the power to go home all along, she just never realized it. Leela is the Dorothy analogue. Leela wakes up in New New York, safe and sound, after wishing to know about her home planet. This could have been a clue that Leela was a sewer mutant. After spending episodes gazing up into the stars and wishing to find her home planet, Leela turns out to be from Earth the whole time.
