According to the sheet music in its first appearance, Ixia's music box plays "You Are My Sunshine." This gains meaning when one takes into account that her parents caused a ruckus when she was drafted, and they now might have joined the resistance. The military took their sunshine away.
This symbolism also reinforces the notion that her parents are Mercury and Solace. Their code names are both related to the sun.
Ixia really likes eggs. Snakes eat eggs a lot.
Speaking of Ixia's diet, she's also shown eating bacon, which you'd think Jacques (who is a pig) would take issue with . . . but in real life, pigs are true omnivores who will happily chow down on pretty much anything remotely edible, including pork or bacon if the opportunity presents itself.
Commander Borzax's consistent failures against the Cloudscratchers would belie his fearsome reputation, but after Ixia fought him in person it would seem he fell victim to the military equivalent of The Peter Principle.
It's questionabe how horrible this really is, but the first time Sally (a cow) appears, she's bringing some glasses of milk to Felix and Ixia. Where would a cow get milk from?
