     Fridge Brilliance
  • Losing due a circumstance involving the Time Stone, killing the person responsible without any true resistance, and seeking out a way to repair their defeat via the multiverse. Are we talking about the main universe Avengers or Earth-842667's Thanos?
    • Both are also rather screwed over by an Outside-Context Problem. Corvus Glaive wouldn't have expected Supergiant to still be with the Black Order on Earth-842667, while Earth-842667 Thanos had no reason to doubt Corvus and Proxima would join him.
  • Earth-842667 Thanos fought the Avengers of his Earth, who came "extremely close" to killing him, even with five of the six Infinity Stones. When he goes up against the main universe Avengers, he understands them much better, and it takes the Outside-Context Problem of Corvus Glaive's planning to defeat him.
  • On a related note, Corvus Glaive is the one who creates the plan to defeat Thanos. As the leader of the Black Order, he would understand his master enough to know how to beat him.

     Fridge Horror
  • Thanos snaps his fingers, half the population turns to dust, and then all but four Avengers disappear for three years. Sounds like the perfect time for supervillains to regain a foothold on the world.
  • Earth-842667 Thanos depowers Carol Danvers with the same method he used to kill her Earth-842667 counterpart. It's likely without the presence of the other heavy hitters on the battlefield that this would have been the main universe Carol's fate as well.
