Wee Weasel Tales is an ongoing, four-part, horror-comedy AU fanfic series by qwertuno, started in 2022. The series is based on the 2021 Willy’s Wonderland film, as well as the 2021-2022 comic series of the same name which followed the film. The main title and plot of these fanfics follow the path of Jerry Robert Willis’s non-canon daughter, Arabia Daisy Willis, through the events of the comic series’ timelines.
During these events Arabia’s relevance in the fanfic series is explained, as well as crucial personality traits of her character. From the beginning of the series, she has to cope with hardship and turmoil, from Jerry’s crimes in the past … to dealing with the angry townsfolk of Hayesville.
As the tale progresses, Arabia demonstrates toughness, strong survival instincts, and the willingness to stand her ground against foes bigger and more powerful than her. There’s a lot of drama in this fanfic series; both physical and emotional, some angst, and more than a few super-scary moments.
All four of the fanfics in the series carry the series’ title in front of their own unique titles. They are listed below from first to last. Wee Weasel Tales contains examples of:
- Big Bad: Jeremy Robert Willis, also known as Willy Weasel (after he possesses that animatronic). He is the leader of his notorious, serial-killing cult, and Arabia’s father.
- Criminal Found Family: Jerry, Arabia, and all of Jerry’s recruits. Jerry formed the group in the asylum he was imprisoned in, in order to help him escape from the asylum and find his daughter Arabia.
- Previously, Jerry had scorned the fellowship of others (apart from Arabia), but then grew to appreciate his recruits for their skills. As for Arabia, she just wants to be with the father she loves, and who loves her back.
- Many of Jerry’s team were alienated from normal society because of bullying behavior by others, crimes of passion etc. Jerry quickly took advantage of their emotional vulnerabilities and lured them into his newly formed cult with promises of friendship and acceptance.
- Kid Hero: Arabia Willis herself. Being very young doesn’t stop the courageous little girl from dealing with troubles bigger than normal ones facing a preschooler of her age. She also has a strong set of morals, high intelligence, and keen improvisation skills.
