  • Original Character: Crystal Lillian Miller, the daughter of Rumpelstiltskin

  • Original Character: Lillian Miller, the miller's daughter from the Rumpelstiltskin fairy tale who was a lover to the Dark One and bore his child. She left to protect her child and sacrificed everything to give her daughter the best life possible, and sadly pays with her life.

  • Villainous Lineage: Crystal is the daughter of Rumpelstiltskin, meaning she inherited a lot of his dark magic.

  • Pregnant Badass: Crystal realizes that she is pregnant during the story. She does not let her pregnancy slow her down at all. She confronts the Evil Queen side of Regina and helps rescue her family when they are abducted in New York.

  • Disappeared Dad: For the majority of her life, Crystal does not know her father is and avoids the subject for a long time.

  • Mysterious Parent: Crystal grows up never knowing who her father was and does not discover his identity until years after her mother's death. While reading Lillian Miller's diary, the young woman discovers who her father was and eventually ends up meeting him.

  • Darkand Troubled Past: This applies to both Crystal and her father. Rumpelstiltskin is the Dark One and has a large list of misdeeds and evil that can never be topped. Crystal, due to the dark magic inherited from her father, was much more easily swayed to do dark things and cause trouble. Some of the most notable include joining gangs, vandalism, arson, abuse of various substances, theft and accidental homicide

  • It's All My Fault and Personal Horror: Crystal's dark magic manifested and while torn between wanting to hurt her mother and save her, her magic accidentally killed her mother. It is her deepest regret and she lives with the pain of this reality every single day.
