Harry's Past contains examples of:
- Bittersweet Ending: Tim is saved, and he and Lucy are planning on moving into together. However, due to Harry killing Christopher, Harry’s suspended and might lose his job.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Harry nearly died after being tortured similarly to Tim at the hands of Christopher. He also lost his wife when their son was young, leading to Harry leaving and his son to be raised by his ex-mother-in-law.
- Outliving One's Offspring: Gertrude outlived her daughter and Tim's mother, Tamara when she died of an unknown disease when Tim was a kid.
- Raised by Grandparents: Tim was raised by his maternal grandmother after his mother died, and Harry moved to Rhyme City.
