Sammy's Family
Samuel "Sammy" Straightaway
Voiced by: David Goodman (Series), Dylan Carbonell (Pilot Shorts)A young man of indeterminate species who always seems to find himself running into trouble.
- Good Parents: While he may not be in control over the things that happen to him, that doesn't stop him from being a loving and attentive father to Maggie.
Maggie Straightaway
Voiced by: Microsoft MarySammy's adopted daughter, an alien cyborg from the planet Hexoplex.
- Happily Adopted: By Sammy.
- Innocent Prodigy: She's both highly intelligent as one would expect from a cyborg, and highly naïve as one would expect from a preschooler.
- Machine Monotone: Speaks through a voice synthesizer in her helmet, as does the rest of her species.
- Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Among the tools inside her helmet are a boxing glove, a laser cannon, and who knows what else.
- Spock Speak: She speaks with a very dry, formal vocabulary even when talking about silly subjects.
Desdemona "Dez" Dazzowitz
Voiced by: Alyssa Maxwell ZelmanSammy's girlfriend, an eccentric and loyal musician.

Rodney Snobb
Voiced by: Ryan OldisSammy's obnoxiously-wealthy neighbor who often gets in Sammy's way.
- Asshole Victim: If something bad happens to anyone who isn't Sammy, there's a 90% chance it'll be Rodney. And each and every time, he has it coming.
- Bullying a Dragon: He once thought it would be funny to flick Maggie's antenna...
- Rich Bitch: His primary character traits.
Derby
Voiced by: Kate V. JorgensenA sociopathic glamour girl who antagonizes Sammy and his family.
- Faux Affably Evil: Puts on a cutesy act that she drops very quickly.
- Slasher Smile: She's seemingly incapable of not smiling, even when furious.
