• The Elf Invasion naturally gives plenty of opportunities for these moments.
  • When some Elves kidnap a baby to torture, Tiffany tracks them down and burns them alive.
  • A group of elves try to start mischief in a mill - mind you, a mill updated due to the Disc's Industrial Revolution. The miller locks them in. And ignores the screaming.
  • For Letice Earwig of all people. It turns out that of all of the witches of the Ramtops she is the only one who has the force of personality and certainty of self to be immune to elf glamour. Not even Tiffany, not even Granny who both fought against and overcome The Queen were able to just outright IGNORE the attack. Letice doesn't even notice.
    • Crosses over with Funny when it's mentioned that she's "missing something" that prevents it from working - which, given Mrs. Earwig, is likely any sense of humility.
• The deposed Elf Queen shows that elves could change - she undergoes a slow Heel–Face Turn and eventually has a Redemption Equals Death.
• The elves are aware of Vetinari. They call him "The Dark One". When threatened with him The Queen claimed he would not be interested, not that she isn't afraid of him.
