• While it means she's not on as often, Ms. Frizzle is now a Professor! That is showing a lot of respect for the woman who is clearly very intelligent.
  • More than that, she got her PhD without any of her students knowing. Which means she either was able to hold a full-time job, take the class on magic field trips, and get a doctorate; or she did the whole program in one summer.
• While the quality of the character animation is debatable, the CGI animation of the bus is the top notch (Could be where most of the budget went).
• All of the subtle ways that the show runners display scientific progress within the show, from the school being powered by solar panels and wind turbines, as well as the bus itself now being electric, to D.A.'s ever-present "research" now being a state-of-the-art tablet.
• The kids outsmarting a shark in episode 3 is rather impressive, especially given they were, of course, scared to death of the thing.
• For a 10 year old, Jyoti is actually a pretty good wiz with mechanical engineering, as she makes a lot of cool gadgets with the help of her classmates.
• Fiona going full superhero mode when teaching the kids about how the weather interacts with stones.
• The magnet dance on the ceiling, even if it isn't actually possible as Professor Frizzle explains.
  • Though...insanely improbable in reality, them using the magnetite to get the bus out of the ditch was an awesome scene given they used the combined magnetic force to get the bus back.
• In Episode 8, they revealed a bit of the Magic School Bus's backstory; Both Frizzles created the Magic School Bus for a technology competition. So that means both of them were able to create a near-sentient bus that can shapeshift and mess around with physics. It's a wonder they're just a fifth grade teacher and a college professor now.
  • Jyoti's bumper cars based on the three states of matter. Be honest, you want to go on it.
• The bus is attacked by a barracuda and stuck in its mouth. The solution: force it near a predator until it has to let them go to get away.
