Awesome / 'Salem's Lot

• Mark Petrie is one cool kid:
  • His introduction has him beating a notorious school bully at his own game, instantly destroying the fear he was holding all the kids in.
  • He resists Danny's attempt to hypnotize him and uses a cross from a model to fight him off.
  • Upon being tied up in the Marsten House, he keeps his cool and methodically works his way out of the ropes using tricks from a book he read about Harry Houdini.
  • Having just seen Barlow kill his parents with ease, he spits in the vampire's face and says "I'm going to kill you."
• Jimmy Cody curing his own vampire bite using his medical knowledge while fighting off his rising bloodlust. Not to mention he's quick-thinking enough to punch Ben and come up with an excuse that someone attacked them and stole the body, so they can have a plausible reason to give the authorities when they come to investigate and have to explain the body is gone, as they can't claim she's a vampire.
• Matt/Jason Burke fending off the turned Mike Ryerson and revoking his invitation while he's having a heart attack.
