  • On the 26th October 2013 edition of Pointless Celebrities (which had a "record breakers" theme), Richard succeeded in breaking the Guinness world record for the most national capitals correctly identified in sixty seconds.
    • The above doesn't quite emphasise just how impressive a feat this actually was. In order to break the existing record, Richard had to identify thirty countries from their capital cities in sixty seconds, without passing once. Try it and give yourself a pat on the back if you get ten.
  • On the 7th December 2013 edition of Pointless Celebrities (which had a "Eastenders" theme) the couple that won, Shawn and Lucy, got 4 Pointless answers.
  • On Episode 9 of Series 20 (September 2018), the opening round category was "Chemical elements beginning with the letters R, E, A, C, T, I, O and N". 3 of the pairs got Pointless answers in the first half. In the second half 2 of them got Pointless answers, including a pair who got one in the first half. The highest score of that entire round, 3.
    • The pair who got 2 Pointless answers in the opening round, Gary and Robina would go on to win the £2,250 jackpot. Now that's just cool.
  • On the 18th January 2017 edition, contestants were asked to name artists who had released any of the 40 best-selling albums in the UK for the year 2015. One of the contestants asked if she could name Alexander himself, as she was aware that he had released a studio album in that year. His response was initially one of uncertainty: "I’d be very flattered, but I … aww, that’s nice of you! I’d be very surprised. Is that what you’re going to say?". As it turned out, he was not just a correct answer, but also pointless! (His album had placed #32 on the list.)
  • Two of the four teams invited back for the 1,000th episode had distinguished themselves notably in the final. One team had won the biggest jackpot to that time (£24,750), and the other had won their jackpot by giving three pointless answers.
  • Any elimination round in which all the teams finish with single-digit scores.
  • Any team that finishes an elimination round with a score of zero and/or that wins the final with three pointless answers. (Starting with Series 29, the latter feat awards an extra £500.)
  • Whenever both pointless answers are found in the bonus round.
