  • After two months of utter hell and fully losing the planet at one point, High Command finally issued a Major Order to liberate Malevelon Creek and avenge the hundreds of thousands of patriotic Helldivers that Super Earth had lost there, both to boost waning Helldiver morale and wrap up the loose end that the Creek presented in the Severin sector. Though the planet was already extensively liberated, the Helldivers got it done in five hours of ruthlessly spilling oil. High Command then had this to say:
High Command: At long last, Malevelon Creek is free. The heroes who died in its defense can finally rest in peace, knowing justice has been served, and the planet's rhodium deposits will be mined by the citizens who rightfully own them. Colonists are returning to the ruins of their settlements, pickaxes in hand, hopeful for a prosperous future. For at last, dawn breaks on the Creek.
  • When Operation Harvest ordered the Helldivers to slaughter a minimum of 2 billion Terminids in order to stockpile E-710 for the coming operations on the Automaton front, the expectation was clearly that it would take them a couple days as with previous Major Orders, if not almost a week given the allotted amount of time to complete it. They completed the objective in just over twelve hours, vastly exceeding the projected timespannote .
  • Any time you and your team completes a Helldive level operation. Your enemies have an overwhelming advantage in numbers and fire power, are constantly patrolling everywhere, and will summon an entire army at your location if you are detected, yet somehow, someway, you and your team pull through and bring another victory for Super Earth.
  • Prospects were dim at the start of Operation Enduring Bulwark, as it required ten successful planetary defenses across both fronts. Up until that point, Helldivers had never completed a defensive Major Order, let alone one that spread them so thin. This resulted in low morale for many, but things were turned on their head as the operation proceeded and efforts paid off, with Fori Prime's liberation cutting off the Terminids attacking Oshaune from their supply lines and deftly saving the planet while Estanu was repeatedly defended with each defense contributing towards the end goal. Finally, in the very last hours of the Operation, the defensive campaign of Ustotu succeeded, securing the Helldivers' victory.
  • While not within the game itself, the way that the player community responded to Sony's attempt to force PSN integration into the game is a testament to what a large gaming community who truly love their game can do when its livelihood is threatened. Obviously carpet review bombing the game's Steam page into the ground carried a huge risk of only hurting the game in the long term (and there was some less-than-moral and unsavory behavior from certain folks), but the fact that the uproar managed to get the famously resistant-to-change Sony to even listen to it, let alone completely capitulate to the playerbase's demands is something truly special. Many gamers after the whole fiasco was over noted how this incident would likely become a part of gaming history and a shining pillar of what an irate community of devoted fans can achieve. And this isn't even mentioning how the Helldivers still managed to complete that weekend's Major Order AND defend Lesath from the Automatons amongst thousands of people refunding the game or refusing to play it out of protest!
