• In the end, Pony leaves Rathcullen, as he didn't get the caretaker job and is looking for job opportunities elsewhere. So, he drops into the pub to harass and bully the townspeople one last time. Then Michael shows up and beats the living crap out of him and knocks him out cold, much to the delight of the pub patrons he has been tormenting for a long time.
• When Pony's mother, herself responsible for causing a great deal of trouble, goes to his aid, and he tells her to get lost. He's sick of her manipulating him.
