  • The Knight Awakens: Luke holding his own against Suzaku and the Lancelot with only a standard Sutherland and no prior experience piloting a Knightmare Frame.

  • Their Names are Zero and Luke Skywalker!: Zero's debut is made all the more awesome with Luke also being present and standing alongside him as an equal. Also, when they make their escape with Suzaku, Luke uses the Force to disarm Villetta's Sutherland and then cripple it with his lightsaber, shocking the audience.
  • Guardians of Peace and Justice:
    • Vader and Suzaku's impeccable teamwork as they carry out the tunnel run together to save the hotel hostages. The Sith Lord is even rather impressed by Suzaku's resolve and loyalty. To have Darth Vader even mildly respect you is a big achievement.
    • The debut of the Black Knight, further elevated by Zero's declaration to embody the Jedi Knights of yore.
  • The Battle For Narita:
    • Luke and Kallen vs. Suzaku and Darth Vader with Duel of Fates playing in the background. What could be more awesome?
    • Kallen tries to hold off Darth Vader alone so Zero can escape. She's of course horribly outmatched even in her Knightmare, but still manages to briefly bog him down through sheer tenacity alone and ultimately manages to escape (even if the Guren by that point was very much wrecked). Vader even compliments her fighting spirit.
  • Messenger from Kyoto: Darth Vader puts his foot down on how Cornelia has been dealing with the rebels and declares that from now on, he will assume command. As Cornelia begins to go on a rant and begins to mock Vader, the Sith Lord quickly shuts her up by choking her with the Force.
Vader: I find your lack of faith disturbing.
  • Skirmish at the Docks:
    • We get the first Lightsaber Duel in the series as Luke battles Vader to protect Lelouch. Kallen and Suzaku stop their own fight and watch the duel with astonished eyes.
    • The image of Darth Vader riding atop the Lancelot chasing after the Ghost.
  • Nunnally and Threepio Held Hostage:
    • Apparently the members of the Rebel Alliance who look Britannian are inspiring actual Britannians to speak up in favor of the Japanese.
    • Suzaku not only dodges machine gun fire, but blaster shots.
    • When Mao tries to escape using Threepio as a hostage, Luke shows up just outside the chapel, aiming his lightsaber at the mind reader. Han then disarms him with a blaster shot to the arm.
      • The disarmament then becomes more literal when Mao again attempts to escape, only for Chewie to rip his arms off.
  • A Friend in Need: The end of the chapter gives us a sneak peek of the rescue of Tohdoh, which includes the bounty hunters and the first appearance of both Vader and Luke's new Knightmares, with the latter in a duel with the Lancelot.
