* ActingInTheDark: Demiurge has declared that movie tie-in characters are made without the full product to watch. This explains two cases where members of the "Villains" group turn out to be a AntiVillain (Ghost and Talos), and [[spoiler:Mysterio being among the "Heroes" when that's just a ruse.]]
* DelayedReleaseTieIn: As a result of ''Film/BlackWidow2021'' [[ReleaseDateChange getting pushed forward due to the COVID-19 pandemic]], this happened to both 5* Yelena Belova (debuted during the original release date of April 2020) and Red Guardian (the rescheduled November, when the movie itself got delayed to April 2021). The Operation Spider Silk PVE too, which had ran a few times before actually happening alongside the film's debut.
* MeaningfulReleaseDate: MCU-inspired characters usually appear around the release of new films and shows, whether on theaters, home video or streaming (there is also a non-Marvel Studios case in Spiderverse Kingpin). Special events inspired by the films are also ran during the period. The comics also influence PVP events or new characters, such as 5* Carnage coming out as ''Comicbook/AbsoluteCarnage'' was rolling. In a video game case, ''Videogame/GuardiansOfTheGalaxy2021'' inspired 5 star Gamora.
** Sometimes, the PVP schedule is shuffled for holidays - Iceman for Christmas, Bagman for April Fool's, and during June i.e. Pride Month, LGBT characters.
* MilestoneCelebration: Every October the game's anniversary is celebrated, with the biggest distinction being that it used to be the only time Taskmaster covers are available - until the PVE Operation Spider Silk, to tie in to how there's a Taskmaster in ''Film/{{Black Widow|2021}}''.
