* DoingItForTheArt:
** VideoGame/RetroGameChallenge was brought over solely because they wanted it to be released in the United States. They also brought over all three chapters of the VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesTrailsInTheSky trilogy, which is known for having tens of thousands of lines of text...per game. Even when no other publisher would touch it, because of the infamously poor translation of the VideoGame/GagharvTrilogy. It's almost impossible to overstate what an achievement this is, releasing an obscure outside of Japan trilogy of games that's more than double the length of Literature/TheLordOfTheRings, comparable to VideoGame/MassEffect in size and scope on the Platform/PlayStationPortable', a long out of date console that promptly tanked in sales, simply because they wanted to bring the games to North America. They proceeded to undergo an equally text-heavy challenge with VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesTrailsOfColdSteel games on the Platform/PlayStationVita with the addition of a copious amount of English voice acting.
** They actually mentioned that the first thing in localizing a game is to see if anyone in the office likes it. If nobody does, the game doesn't get localized.
* DVDCommentary: The company's localization blog, where staff recount various misadventures porting games, coming across tricky localization choices, and the occasional Q and A by fans.
* LineToGod: Their blog is sometimes open to fan feedback and questions.
* Publisher To The Rescue: Thanks to Operation Rainfall's efforts, while Nintendo themselves handled the entire international release of VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles1, it was XSEED that also made the North American release of the operation's two other games, VideoGame/TheLastStory & VideoGame/PandorasTower, a reality.Nintendo handled the publishing of those games in Japan and Europe, as well.
