''[=LittleBig=] Loco Roco'' is a series of custom ''VideoGame/LittleBigPlanet'' (and later, ''{{VideoGame/Dreams}}'') levels made by yoda115 and bigphil2695, inspired by the ''VideoGame/LocoRoco'' series. It follows the same basic plotline as the aforementioned games: the Moja Corps are attacking the peaceful world of the [=LocoRoco=], so it is up to them to stop the intruders and take back their rightful home. However, it also features a ''significantly'' [[DarkerAndEdgier darker]] tone than the series it is based on, involving guns, [[TankGoodness tanks]], and frequent depictions of war, resulting in a generous amount of [[BloodierAndGorier blood and on-screen death]].

The series is largely centered around the yellow [=LocoRoco=], Kulche, [[AdaptationNameChange known here as]] Kelche Olmee. Once a [[CheerfulChild cheerful, happy-go-lucky kid]] as in his home series, the traumatic events of the Moja War have [[BreakTheCutie had quite the effect on him]]. Thus, upon your arrival, Kelche makes your Sackperson [[AnOfferYouCantRefuse a simple deal]]: go kill the Moja, or else, he will [[SlainInTheirSleep murder you in your sleep]].

Its first entry came out in 2008, while the latest, ''The Letting Go - Episode 1: The Hour of Lead'', was released in 2020.
----
!!This series provides examples of:

* AdaptationNameChange: Kulche is now known as K'''e'''lche, and has been given the last name Olmee.
* AdaptedOut: Thus far, both Majoliné and Galanmar, who were major villains in ''[=LocoRoco=] 2'', have yet to make an appearance here.
* ArtifactTitle: Although the series has officially moved to ''Dreams'' starting with ''The Letting Go'', the "''[=LittleBig=]''" part of its title remains.
* BungledSuicide: Kelche tries to kill himself in various ways over the course of the series, but he fails every time. One of these attempts leads to [[spoiler:him and Dominus being imprisoned and then kicked off of Mr. Cheesemonkey's ship.]]
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: For some reason, the Sackperson who helped [[spoiler:revive Kelche]] and later [[spoiler:kill Bonmucho]] is nowhere to be seen or even mentioned in ''The Letting Go''. Instead, these events are solely credited to [=MuiMui=] and Dominus, respectively.
* ComingOfAgeStory: The later entries detail Kelche's life from a child to an elderly man... er, [=LocoRoco=].
* DeadlyEuphemism: When [[spoiler:Kelche is prepared to shoot himself [[BungledSuicide again]] on Mr. Cheesemonkey's ship:]]
->[[spoiler:'''Kelche:''' It's time for the Loco Roco... to Dream again.\
'''Dominus:''' KELCHE! [[BigNo NO!]]]]
* DemotedToExtra: The other [=LocoRoco=], who originally shared equal importance with Kelche, are scarcely seen.
* ADogNamedDog: Kelche's caretaker is a [=MuiMui=] named "[=MuiMui=]".
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: The first few levels are far less story-oriented, each consisting of essentially just a hallway filled with [=LocoRoco=] [[NonPlayerCharacter NPCs]] to talk to and the occasional Moja to defeat before reaching the end.
* {{Main/Flashback}}: The later levels in particular use a lot of these to give a look into various moments from Kelche's life.
* IdenticalTwinIDTag: Initially, the main way to tell Kelche and his brother Dominus apart is their antennae: the former has one, while the latter has two.
* InvisibleAnatomy: The limbless [=LocoRoco=] are able to carry objects and drive vehicles without a problem, among other things. Particularly jarring in ''The Letting Go'''s opening {{Main/Flashback}}, in which [=MuiMui=] explicitly instructs Kelche to arrange his fingers on a guitar, despite him not visibly having any.
* LastOfHisKind: [=MuiMui=] states that he is the only surviving member of his species, after his home planet collapsed. [[spoiler:This is [[OnlyYouCanRepopulateMyRace precisely why]] he wanted [[BrotherSisterIncest Kelche and Elisa to have a child together]], as they both possess his recessive genes. Later [[DefiedTrope defied]] once Kelche [[{{Main/Patricide}} kills [=MuiMui=]]].]]
* LookAlikeLovers: Aside from her eyelashes and slightly larger eyes, Elisa looks exactly like Kelche. [[spoiler:[[JustifiedTrope Justified]] once it's revealed that [[SurpriseIncest they were actually half-siblings all along]].]]
* LukeIAmYourFather: [[spoiler:Shortly after Kelche discovers the [[MixAndMatchMan Elisa/Moja hybrid]] in their basement, [=MuiMui=] reveals to Kelche that they are actually father and son, respectively.]]
* MoodWhiplash: The first episode of ''The Letting Go'' begins with a [[HappyFlashback rather sweet flashback]] in which [=MuiMui=] teaches a young Kelche how to play the guitar... before [[SmashCut abruptly cutting to]] a flashback of [[spoiler:[[{{Patricide}} Kelche shooting [=MuiMui=]]]]] from the previous entry.
* MythologyGag:
** Dominus has two antennae, just like the original Kulche whenever two or more of him are combined into one.
** Kelche and his family's last name, Olmee, comes from the name of a creature introduced in ''[=LocoRoco 2=]''.
** In the seventh entry, one {{Main/Flashback}} has you [[PromotedToPlayable take control of Kelche]] in an environment designed to be highly reminiscent of the original games, featuring [[{{Main/TheCameo}} Cameos]] by several characters such as the Nyokki and the Pickories.
** One floor of Mr. Cheesemonkey's ship contains a barrel of toxic waste, which Kelche has the option to drink from. If he does so, he briefly [[ToxicWasteCanDoAnything transforms into his classic counterpart]], as the title screen song from the first game plays in the background.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: Goudachimp bears an uncanny resemblance to [[Main/YouTubers YouTuber]] [[https://www.youtube.com/user/nikocadoavocado Nikocado Avocado]].
* PaletteSwap: The other [=LocoRoco=] all use the same model as Kelche, although with various colors and/or other minor differences.
* {{Main/Patricide}}: [[spoiler:Kelche murders his biological father, [=MuiMui=], after discovering that [=MuiMui=] secretly kept a living Moja in the basement of their home.]]
* PromotedToPlayable: Some of the [[{{Main/Flashback}} Flashbacks]] have you take control of Kelche himself. He fully replaces the Sackperson as your playable character in ''The Letting Go''.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: [=MuiMui=] reveals at one point that he is over 1000 years old.
* SlainInTheirSleep: At the start of the early levels, Kelche threatens to do this to your Sackperson unless you help kill the Moja. [[spoiler: He eventually does it to [=MuiMui=] after learning that he secretly kept a Moja alive.]]
* StrippedToTheBone: [[spoiler:All that remains of Goudachimp after Mr. Cheesemonkey [[YouHaveFailedMe vomits all over him]] is a skeleton.]]
* SuddenAnatomy: Despite Main/InvisibleAnatomy being in effect for the most part, the [=LocoRoco=] sometimes have visible arms when needed. For example, when Dominus hugs Kelche at the end of the seventh entry, and when Kelche is choosing between floors in ''The Letting Go''.
* TimePassageBeard: Kelche and [=MuiMui=] both grow shaggy gray beards in the decades they spend locked up in their house together.
* VocalDissonance: Bonmucho, of all characters, speaks with a high-pitched [[UsefulNotes/AmericanAccents Southern accent]], as opposed to the [[EvilSoundsDeep very deep voice]] he had in the original games. This is especially jarring considering he only appears in his mutated form here.
* VomitIndiscretionShot: Whenever Mr. Cheesemonkey vomits, it's always shown in its full glory.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: The ''[=LocoRoco=]'' characters hardly resemble their original counterparts. Special mention goes to Bonmucho, who for some reason looks more like a floating head with [[Main/RedEyesTakeWarning red sclerae]], surrounded by flames.
* YouHaveFailedMe: [[spoiler:Mr. Cheesemonkey kills Goudachimp as punishment for allowing Kelche to retrieve his gun from the safe, [[StrippedToTheBone leaving behind nothing but a skeleton]].]]
* ZombiePukeAttack: Although he isn't a zombie, Mr. Cheesemonkey seems to utilize his own vomit as a weapon, and, at one point, uses it to [[spoiler:help Dominus and the Sackperson escape confinement.]]
