[[AC:The Dragonet Prophecy]]
* The Dragonets of Destiny attempt to reinact the play when the [=SandWing=] sisters go to war with each other. Such highlights include:
** Clay's scavenger noises: "Squeak, squeak, squeak! And other annoying scavenger noises!"
*** It's even funnier in the graphic novel, with Clay's dragon head on a human body in a mural acting.
** Sunny parading around the room, pretending to be Queen Oasis. When she sees "the scavenger" (Clay), she yelps, but Tsunami says that she's not supposed to be scared.
** The others perform their lines pretty well too.
-->'''Glory''': I, Blister, was about to challenge her ''[Queen Oasis]''! I should be queen!\
'''Tsunami''': I, Burn, am eldest and biggest! I should be queen!\
'''Starflight''': I, Blaze, am the youngest and would have the longest reign! I should be queen!\
'''Tsunami''': ''(snickers)'' And...?\
'''Starflight''': ''(dully)'' And I am also by far the prettiest.
** As they all laugh at Starflight for said above quote, even Sunny (who's supposed to be playing the now-dead queen) ends up {{Corpsing}}.
* Even when Tsunami gets chained to a stalagmite, she sings "The Dragonets Are Coming" in a very loud and annoying voice to annoy Kestrel.
* Queen Scarlet asks Clay and Tsunami if they lived under a rock, since they didn't recognize her. They answer yes.
* In the graphic novel, in the arena, Tsunami and Starflight are to fight each other! ...only to do the dragon equivalent of a hug [[BaitAndSwitch instead]]. One dragon can only confusedly jeer "Boo?" while the rest of the arena lets out a collective "[[CutenessProximity AWWWWW]]!"

[[AC:The Lost Heir]]
* "WE ARE NOT CALLING IT MAGICAL DEATH SPIT!"
* While accusing Tsunami of almost killing a [=SkyWing=] dragon, Glory sarcastically asks if they'd like to write graffiti on the body saying "DRAGONETS WUZ HERE".
* Tsunami sees another [=SeaWing=] dragon and flashes her glowing stripes at him underwater. When they surface, the dragon (Riptide) reveals that Tsunami was flirting with him by accident. The message translates to "[[MyHovercraftIsFullOfEels Hey, sparkling teeth, I totally love three of your claws but not the others, and I wish your nose was a herring so I can eat it, and also your wings sound like sharks snoring]]". To top it all off, [[ActuallyPrettyFunny this gets a laugh out of her.]]
* Even after she and the other dragonets are still held captive, Glory still can't stop snarking at Tsunami.
-->'''Glory''': ''(looking at Queen Coral's egg)'' Wow, they really do it real quick in the Sea Kingdom, don't they? So who's the lucky [=SeaWing=]?
* When he's first introduced Whirlpool refers to Anemone and Tsunami as "Your smaller majesties."
* While Blister is complaining about how useless the dragonets are, Morrowseer suggests that maybe she could have been, quote, "less sinister towards them." Apparently, in all his vast knowledge, he doesn't know the meaning of irony.
* A great sight gag from the graphic novel: Tsunami mentioning the Talons taught her history is shown by a scroll depicting terrified scavengers fleeing a dragon's fire.

[[AC:The Hidden Kingdom]]
* Clay tries a piece of fruit that's big and red. When the other dragons start talking, [[FunnyBackgroundEvent Clay eats the fruit and gets a weird look on his face (his teeth get stuck together)]], so he mumbles through this mouthful of fruit for a little while. He even tries talking through the fruit when Glory and Starflight start arguing.
* Magnificent doesn't like it when Exquisite calls her "Auntie Maggie" and we find out that even Rainwings are capable of snark.
--> '''Exquisite:''' ''(to her sloths)'' Auntie Maggie isn't mad, she's just in a temper because she actually has to do something.
* In the graphic novel Scarlet tries to kill glory with fire which blows in her face doing nothing.
* Sunny when Glory tells her that she needs her to cheer her on:
-->'''Sunny:''' I think I'm being patronized... but I'll cheer for you anyways!

[[AC:The Dark Secret]]
* Clay's dreams about eating lots of food. He's sitting in a big room like the [[Literature/AChristmasCarol Ghost of Christmas Present]], surrounded by all kinds of food like hippos, bears, cows, and many fruits and [[BigEater eating to his heart's delight]].
** When Starflight visits Glory's dream in the dreamvisitor, he remarks to Glory about how she and Tsunami were right: Clay does dream about food all the time.
* It can't be emphasized enough how easily the skywings knew the fake dragonets were imposters: Squid is such a whiny, wimpy, sniveling coward that one skywing (who was scarred by Tsunami) '''knows''' he's ''[[CowardlyLion nothing]]'' like the brave and violent [[ActionGirl Tsunami]].
* The running gag of Fatespeaker bringing up her visions. It's to the point that the other fake dragonets wish they could kill her somehow.
* When Morrowseer offers Starflight some carrion to eat, Starflight goes into [[{{Technobabble}} a long explanation on how he's not adapted for eating carrion like the other Nightwings]]. Morrowseer, the big bad scary cryptic stoic antagonist, [[NotSoStoic gives him a thousand yard stare]], then casually remarks he now knows how Starflight's father is [[LikeFatherLikeSon because only]] ''[[LikeFatherLikeSon he]]'' [[LikeFatherLikeSon would talk like that]].
* In Starflight's DreamSequence, he dreams about how he and Clay happen upon a library of scrolls that should surely help them. "How to save the Rainwings"? Blank. "What we know about Nightwing"? Blank. "How to tell Sunny you love her?" Well, Starflight doesn't even bother looking in it to ''[[CannotSpitItOut know]]'' it's going to be blank.
* Starflight being blown away by the Nightwing library filled for days with scrolls. He's nearly distracted from his current mission, and needs Fatespeaker to bring him back on track.
** Later, Mastermind is seen taking as many Nightwing scrolls as he can through the portal. Sunny can't help but remark [[LikeFatherLikeSon he certainly shares something with Starflight]].
* Flame's scratched eye looking disfigured from Viper's venom? ([[NightmareFuel shudder]]) The same eye eliciting a sympathetic "Oof!" and a petulant "Ew!" from the Nightwing guards? Priceless!
* Sunny and Fatespeaker geeking out over each other! Looks like [[StrangeMindsThinkAlike there's two of them]] now.
* The anticlimatic nature of [[NamesToRunAwayFrom Battlewinner]] threatening to crawl out of her lava pool and kill every dragon in the room for their defiance. ...only to instantaneously turn into an ice sculpture because [[TooDumbToLive she neglected to remember she needs the lava pool to live]]. Made all the more funnier by the [[OhCrap caught-off-guard expression]] she makes when she turns to ice.

[[AC:The Brightest Night]]
* A funny moment in the graphic novel concerning the obsidian mirror. When the nightwings use it to spy on the other dragonets, the conversation leads to them revealing to Glory [[InternalReveal the prophecy isn't real]]. In response, Glory's smoke grows a mouth as she yells "I'LL BITE THAT DRAGON'S HEAD OFF AND STUFF HIM IN A VOLCANO!" It's comical to imagine her smoke is talking like an angry sock puppet.
* Another funny moment in the graphic novel is Sunny witnessing the Rainwings' meager abilities to use a spear. One looks at theirs in confusion, another practices using it ''while pointing the wrong end'', and a third so happily uses it to chase butterflies.
* When Sunny leaves a threatening message for the Nightwings, they so easily think it's a message from a mythical figure called "The Darkstalker". There's something so comical about how they think [[ThePollyanna Sunny]], of all dragons, is their equivalent of the boogeyman. [[DramaticIrony This could not be further from the truth]].
* Six-Claws' reaction to Sunny being given an assassin's business card:
-->'''Assassin:''' Need anyone killed, little lady? Here, take my card.\
'''Six-Claws:''' Whose is it? ...Nah, you don't want him. Too expensive, barely competent.
* Any and all of Thorn's long, creative slurs. [[LikeMotherLikeDaughter And when Sunny uses it]] around the time of the above.
* When Sunny guesses if perhaps Dune might be her father, Thorn reveals [[NotActuallyHisChild it's not so]] in the most comical fashion:
-->'''Thorn:''' Bright smashing suns, no! Blech.
* Sunny putting Smolder on edge by guessing what the "Sandwing secret" is and, not too long after, what important treasure he's most worried about.
* Stonemover named his pet fox "Dinner". It was either that or "Starve".
* Tsunami trying in vain to train the Rainwings into fighters. The graphic novel offers a plethora of Tsunami's complaints, which includes:
** "Leave that toucan alone!"
** "Why are you pink? ''[[MakesSenseInContext Stop being pink]]''!"
** "Three moons, are you eating again?"
* Tsunami is said to be as diplomatic as an angry rhinoceros.
* "Three moons, [[CaptainObvious I'm bleeding]]!" One can't tell if Blaze is more worried she's experiencing pain ''or'' [[SkewedPriorities that the blood will get all over her nice white cloak]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Second Arc]]

[[AC:Moon Rising]]
* In the prey-center, where the dragons practice hunting prey, Clay shouts to the chickens to line up and stand still so that the dragons can eat them.
* Although sobering on paper, Kinkajou's salty comment that Coconut is her ''ex''-friend for how he [[CallBack previously]] [[ApatheticCitizens neglected to look for her when she was kidnapped by NightWings]]. Also, Kinkajou making a StealthInsult to Coconut, as it flies over his head.
* Darkstalker shows that he's turned into a ManChild over the past two thousand years by saying they could kill Glory and then says, "Ha, look at that! Evil dragon." Moon, however, thinks [[DudeNotFunny it's not funny]], so Darkstalker asks, "too soon?"
** Made even funnier when Legends reveals that this isn't a new development, he was always like this.

[[AC:Winter Turning]]
* Moon mentions to her friends to not [[ToadLicking eat any brightly colored frogs]]. Why? Because she's had [[MushroomSamba weird dreams about newts and anteaters taking over the world]].
* In the graphic novel, there's the visual of Winter slogging through the rainforest, hating it with every fiber of his being.
** Also in the graphic novel is the way [[TheGadfly Qibli]] indirectly mocks Scarlet and her dramatic [[ItsAllAboutMe belly-aching]] while they're listening in on her.
** Hailstorm being conflicted over the memories created by his two year absence? Sobering. Him banging his head on a tree as though the memories were [[EarWorm a catchy song stuck in his head]]? Funny!

[[AC:Escaping Peril]]
* Peril is happy at being not able to burn anything up anymore and tries being menacing without the firescales, even practicing her growling. Scarlet's response?
-->"You sound like you're digesting an overweight grizzly bear."
* Cliff wants to see his mom Ruby fight Scarlet. Or in his words: "[[PunctuatedForEmphasis I WANT! TO SEE! MOMMY KILL GRANDMA]]!"
* Once Peril is reunited with Moon and her friends, Winter asks harshly if Peril's not a threat anymore. So Peril thinks "''MUSHROOMS AND MONGOOSES''" as hard as she can at Moon, who giggles.
* Turtle and Peril meet one another for the first time early in the book. When Turtle introduces himself by simply saying "Turtle", Peril thinks that he's speaking some kind of code language or calling ''her'' a turtle, and so responds with "Moose."

[[AC:Talons Of Power]]
* Darkstalker revealing that he's one of Sunny's distant ancestors.
-->'''Darkstalker''': Sunny! Get this! I'm your great-great-great-great-great-okay-I'm-losing-many-greats-great-uncle!
* The main reason Qibli suspects that Darkstalker has a spell on him is that Winter (of all dragons) is giving him a chance.

[[AC: Darkness Of Dragons]]
* Peril thinking that Qibli yelling at an animus bowl is a game, so she decides to join in.
-->'''Peril''': ''(yelling at the bowl)'' HEY BOWL! YOUR SHAPE IS INANE! FOOD PROBABLY FALLS OUT OF YOU ALL THE TIME! I BET YOU DON'T EVEN STACK WELL IN CABINETS! YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT, YOU'RE THE WORST! ''(to Qibli)'' Ooh, this is great. Let's do this everyday!
* Winter's reason for believing that Darkstalker is good now is that he hasn't demanded to be king of the [=NightWings=]. Cue the slate jumping and Turtle sending a message that says Darkstalker wants to be king of the [=NightWings=].
* Qibli and Moon come across Darkstalker trying to turn Fierceteeth into Clearsight and sinking further into despair as he fails to get it right. This exchange happens.
-->'''Moon:''' That's the dragon I see, underneath the other dragon.\
'''Qibli:''' You're right, underneath the brainwashing genocidal murderer is a very lonely brainwashing genocidal murderer.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Third Arc]]

[[AC: The Lost Continent]]
* Swordtail is a fountain of moments like these, particularly when he's on Cricket's stimulant.

[[AC: The Hive Queen]]
* Lady Jewel's attempts to maintain a dignified royal image as Scarab constantly criticizes her.

[[AC: The Poison Jungle]]
* Nearly the entire story of Sundew and Willow's first meeting, particularly in how Sundew was willing to chase a frog deep into the jungle to messily kill it...because it stole her snack.
* Cricket finally gets to meet Tsunami and Turtle and is unable to contain her excitement at meeting dragons from another continent, even asking if Tsunami can see the future like Clearsight. Then the following occurs:
-->'''Tsunami:''' I can see a future- one where it takes me three years to answer all of your questions.\
'''Cricket:''' [[SarcasmBlind REALLY?!]]

[[AC: The Dangerous Gift]]
* Pretty much all of Lynx's interactions with Snowfall, where she constantly pokes fun at her in order to get her to lighten up.
* Sky's [[BadBadActing entirely unconvincing attempt]] to distract Snowfall while Daffodil escapes, and letting her know how much he loves snails and turtles.
* Everyone's reactions when they learn Wren can speak Dragon, especially Winter and Cricket.

[[AC: The Flames of Hope]]
* Qibli's ribbing of [[TheQuietOne Bullfrog]] that he would have to be extra quiet while they were sneaking into Pantala. Bullfrog [[SarcasmBlind doesn't get it at all.]]

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Legends]]

[[AC:Assassin]]
* Commander Tempest's last words before she dies from her wounds: "[[MajorInjuryUnderreaction Well, son of a starfish]]."

[[AC:Deserter]]
* This line when Six-Claws and Dune meet each other.
-->Dune immediately looked at Six-Claws’s talons — [[DeadpanSnarker yes, he had six claws on each of his front feet instead of the usual five; thanks so much for letting everyone know right away, parents]] — and then tried very hard to pretend that he hadn’t.

[[AC:Darkstalker]]
* At one point in the book, Clearsight's friend Listener wants to FreeTheFrogs...that is, freeing scavengers used in their science classes. She even declares at one point that she doesn't need school to become an animal rights activist.
** In the end, though, only one human makes it out alive. The other [[AlwaysABiggerFish gets eaten by an [=IceWing=] dragon]].

[[AC:Dragonslayer]]
* Wren has always fantasized about returning to her hometown on dragonback, so she can terrify her AbusiveParents- and in the ending, ''she actually does''!
* This book has a map of Pyrrhia at the beginning just like every other non-Winglets book. This time the map consists entirely of the words "Here be Dragons" in different places with a few variations ("Here be Dragons, probably?" over the rainforest and "Here be Underwater Dragons" over the Sea Kingdom). Wren lampshades this.
-->'''Wren:''' Thank you [[CaptainObvious Mr. Obvious-Map-Writer]].
* The Wingwatcher's Guide to Dragons notes that since no one's ever reported a [[ActualPacifist Rainwing]] attack, they must be the deadliest type of dragons who never leave any survivors.
* Mushroom runs away with treasure and is chased after by Queen Scarlet. One of the others says that they hope she bites his head off. Anybody who read ''The Dragonet Prophecy'' can tell you that's exactly what happened.
* Wren briefly runs into Deathbringer but, due to not being ''entirely'' fluent in dragon, mistakes his name for Murderbasket. Deathbringer is, understandably, mortified.
