In eastern mythology, dragons have a "reverse scale" on their throats and anyone else touching it sends them into an UnstoppableRage. As part of the Coffin of Eternal Darkness, it represents the demon race. Considering these draconic motifs along with Meliodas' title of Dragon's Sin of Wrath and being of the demon race, this makes sense in a meta way

16	* When Elizabeth asks Meliodas what his sin is, he answers with a straight face that he used to steal panties across the land - then says that's a lie, that lying that he actually groped every breast he saw. Considering his immorality curse and Elizabeth's reincarnation curse, Meliodas could have told her half-truths.

18	* Ban is shown to be the heaviest drinker of the group. This makes sense, considering he's immortal; he can drink as much as he wants without having to worry about dying from alcohol poisoning.

He likely remembered his mentor loved Bernia Ale and learned from Twigo's report that he owned a roaming bar that was sighted in the area, expecting Meliodas would most likely resupply at that town specifically. On top of that only another holy knight could remove Gilthunder's sword from the stone ground, so he expected Meliodas would reveal himself to save the town and resupply on his favourite booze.

22	* At one point, Meliodas tricks Elizabeth into thinking that the next location they had to attend, she would have to join a Naked Dance Festival. Several chapters later, [[spoiler: Elizabeth ends up shrinking, unable to fit into her clothes, and spends most of the time naked with only a ribbon to cover her.]]
23	* King never used his real appearance and name during his time with the Sins when they first formed because he wanted to prevent Diane remembering him from their time together when she was a child.

25	* The two times wherein Ban was imprisoned were both after a person important to him disappeared. The first time was after Elaine died and the second was after Meliodas disappeared and believed to be dead. It would seem that Ban willingly let himself be captured in order to let the pain out.
26	* Guila seeing a Sin's magical power once and then [[MrExposition provides a detailed paragraph on that ability]], such as knowing [[CounterAttack Full Counter]] reflected attacks at double strength, is because her father's heroes were the Seven Deadly Sins, back when they were still loyal. She had heard of them and their powers and only needed reminding who has which power. In fact, some flash backs show her father talking to them while carrying her as a young child.
27	* After Vaizel, Elizabeth became sick and was sent to bed to rest, however it would seem that Elizabeth was in love with Meliodas as she blush harder when Meliodas is close to her. This would explain why Elizabeth suddenly feels better.
28	* On the cover of Chapter 19, Elizabeth and Diane are shown in each other's clothes. This foreshadows what happens in Vaizel wherein [[spoiler: Diane had to wear Elizabeth's clothes as result of them being both shrunk, and unable to fit into their old clothes.]]
29	* When Gowther first meet Dreyfus in Liones, Gowther perform a pose while giving his name and title. This is the same thing that Pelio asked Gowther to do back in Ordan while they were playing which shows that Gowther is honoring his time with Pelio.
30	* It makes sense that Guila didn't transform into a demon as quickly as Jericho or the other 2nd generation Holy Knights. Guila lacks the InferioritySuperiorityComplex that drives the other new generation Holy Knights -- the only reason she drank Red Demon blood was her willingness to protect her brother. Strong negative emotions are needed for the New Generation Holy Knights to fully awaken their powers. For Guila, those were the feelings of abandonment brought about by the disappearance of her father. By then she had an inkling that "Doting Dale" did not abandon them willingly, resolving much of her issues. This probably contributed to her resistance to the Demon Blood transformation as Gowther keep whatever negative emotion she had at the time in check with memory alternation.
31	* One of the reasons Ban got along with Meliodas is because he reminded him of the only two people who were kind to him: Elaine as she and Meliodas are both youthful blondes and Zhivago as both he and Melodias were like family to Ban.
32	* Diane acting like a teenager (despite being one of the oldest Sins) makes more sense when you keep in mind that giants age really slowly.
33	* Meliodas is left handed. The left hand was considered [[ASinisterClue the hand of the devil]] and the later reveal of being a demon.

35	* Knowing what we know now about PowerLevels, Helbram could not stop [[SuperPoweredEvilSide fully Demonized Meliodas' rampage]] at Vaizel despite the latter fighting him bare-handed. But Helbram manages to easily defeat him when Hendricksen gave him power through his Link magic. The reason is Hendricksen is a member of the Druid Clan, and his magic can purify demons.
36	* Studies have shown that people who swear more have a tendency to be more honest than people who don't. As such, as holder of the Commandment of Truth, Galan is the most foulmouthed of the Ten Commandments.
37	* Meliodas' claim on the title of "Strongest Sin" went out the window when Escanor comes along. Meliodas is the Sin of Wrath, Satan's Sin, and Escanor is the Sin of Pride, Lucifer's Sin. Lucifer and Satan are the same person, so this only makes sense. Adding on to that, Lucifer's name means "Morning Star" as in, the Sun, so Escanor having the power of the Sun makes sense.
38	* Grayroad's commandment is Pacifism which makes anyone who kills in her presence ages instantly until they die, so why wasn't Ban affected when he snapped Melascula's neck. Simple, besides his immortality making the commandment useless against him, Melascula survived the attempt on her life despite her jaw being dislocated.
39	* Merlin's design actually makes a lot of sense if you think about her Arthurian DistaffCounterpart. In that regard, since she's a male version of the Arthurian Merlin (who is part incubus), her appearance makes sense if you take into account that she is possibly part succubus.
40	* Why does Meliodas' wanted poster resemble Estarossa? Because ten years has passed since the last time the Holy Knights saw him, and they assumed he was human and he would age normally.
41	* Gowther's sin is Lust, but he's more concerned about reading than being lecherous. Lust isn't always about sex. It's an inappropriate desire or a longing for an abstract concept. He lusts after knowledge, specifically, for knowledge of emotions, which he's trying to learn from books.
42	* Meliodas' suicidal tendencies may have been foreshadowed by his groping of Elizabeth, [[spoiler:who can incinerate demons through touch- a power she is only separated from by a ''very'' thin veil of memories. Was he hoping she would burn him? Does he miss her full self that much?]]

This hints Estarossa's true nature as consequence.

46	* The Demon Lord and the Supreme Deity, despite being moral enemies, have teamed up on two occasions: first to seal away their creator Chaos and then curse their children for falling in love with each other. ''[[Anime/TheSevenDeadlySinsCursedByLight Cursed by Light]]'' reveals that the second team up was because the Holy War is a means for them to carry out their purpose of fighting each other through their creations and that Melodias and Elzabeth's love threatened their parents' ideal "balance". It could make sense that their fear of the Goddess and Demon races abandoning them for Chaos drove them to seal their parent, having no intention of fighting each other directly.

48	* Sins causes destruction, thus it makes sense for two children of the Seven Deadly Sins to become members of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse. It also makes sense as the Sins, through Merlin's manipulations, freed Chaos into their world in the body of King Arthur and the Four Knights are destined to kill him.

52	* Vivian is obsessed with Gilthunder and could force him to do anything. [[SexSlave Do the math.]] Somewhat mitigated now that Merlin has imposed a cursed ring on Vivian that causes painful bruises to spread all over her body when she does anything to defy Gilthunder... although now this could very well take a whole new level into horrific proportions if she's into sadomasochism and allows the curse to spread just because her desires for Gil are that overpowering.
53	* Gilthunder knew all along the identity of his father's murderers and told it to Margaret, but was forced by Vivian to see them every day, work alongside them, and pretend he didn't know the truth. While Hendricksen and Dreyfus are his superiors, the latter is his ''uncle''. Try imagine them having normal uncle-nephew talks and seeing each other in family reunions, especially if the topic of Zaratras was mentioned. Plus, even if he feared that uncle could kill him and Margaret if he discovered what they knew, Gilthunder knew Vivian would not hesitate to have Margaret killed if he rebelled.

When he threw the heart charm away in a dungeon, he didn't discard his emotions (having done so already through the act of a [[LaserGuidedAmnesia self-inflicted memory and emotion purge]])- what he actually and unknowingly did was discard ''his father'' (in a figurative manner) and imprison the memory of him. Thankfully, the heart charm was eventually returned to him.

61	* In chapter 232, after Escanor defeats Meliodas, a cutaway is shown of each sin. In Hawk's eye, you can see a shadow that looks like the Demon King and we later learn that he is using Hawk to spy on the living realm. The Demon King saw [[PhysicalGod The One]] and didn't warn Zeldris of it later. This likely means that even the power the Demon King gave to Zeldris is not enough to stop Escanor when he becomes The One. It also meant the Demon King was aware of how the ability works when he fights Escanor in Zeldris's body.

Compared to the respect he had with Elizabeth during the Holy War and her first reincarnation, he didn't even bother with etiquette with the lives following up the 107th incarnation. It could also be assumed that the LovableSexManiac persona he uses around Elizabeth could be his way of forcing her current incarnation to avoid him in disgust. Since the curse requires him to be present to see her die three days after she regains her memories, every moment she spends away from him is an extra moment of life.

67	* With the Demon King dead by the events of the ''[[Anime/TheSevenDeadlySinsCursedByLight Cursed by Light]]'', the Supreme Being's intent to start a new Holy War after killing the Seven Deadly Sins and their allies could have her and Goddess Race declare war on humans due to their affinity with her creator Chaos. It makes sense as the Demon Race has been gravely weakened from the previous Holy War. Plus, Chaos's RealityWarper powers make it a bigger threat to Supreme Being since she and Demon King sealed it away out of fear, especially as it resides in the body of a youth who gradually becomes a FantasticRacist.
