** In ''Scale 02'', Yuya's Pendulum Call lets him add two "Magician" Pendulum Monsters. One of the monsters Yuya added was ''Odd-Eyes Unicorn''. The author has noticed the mistake and promises to correct it when he has the time.
** In ''Scale 08'', Yuzu's new ace monster is called "Requiem Diva of the Salieri Symphony." When Yuzu activates Sonata's effect, all Melodious monsters gain an additional 500 ATK and DEF. Requiem Diva isn't listed as being a Melodious Monster, nor does it have an effect that treats her as one, but it gains the 500 bonus.
*** The author later corrected the mistake by editing Requiem Diva's effects, stating that it is treated as a Melodious as long as Yuzu has a Melodious monster out on her field.

** ''Scale 16'' one-ups the previous chapters by showing the lengths the leader of the Rare Hunters is willing to go. To start, he kidnpas Shuzo and all but burns You Show Duel School to the ground while dueling Sora, leaving him hospitalized. And when Yuya and co. find him, they see Shuzo suspended over a shark tank. The platform the leader is standing on is also designed so that only two people can stand on it. If more than two people are on it, they'll be swimming with the sharks.

* HilariousInHindsight: During the rematch between Yuzu and Masumi in episode 29, Sora made a comment on how the outcome will be different since he was the one who taught Yuzu the mechanics of Fusion Summoning. When Masumi calls him out on this, he merely dismisses her and tells her that LDS and its Fusion course isn't as great as she thinks it is. Then, in anger by this, she immediately wants to duel HIM, which then causes Sora to lament what a waste of time it would be, ''since he'll end up hurting her confidence even more''. Cue their duel in ''Scale 7'', and you can [[BreakTheHaughty guess what happens for Masumi when she duels against him]].

Thanks to his amnesia and Yuya's influence, he undergoes AdaptationalHeroism and is an overall pleasant person, even becoming a sort of teacher to Yuya while wanting to follow the ideology of You Show Duel School-making everyone smile, as he originally wanted to do before he went postal. Misuse of Trope. Zarc does suffer angst from his bloodlust which he connects to who he was, and desperately wants to avoid returning to that and instead embrace Yuya's Entertainment Dueling. YMMV tropes can't be subverted or played with.

* AngstWhatAngst: For someone who's suffering from amnesia, Zarc doesn't seem too bothered by the fact that he has no memories, and his only apparent memory is a nightmare of a monster destroying a city. Ray is a subverted case, in that while she also doesn't have any memories, she's instead content with making new memories.

Try to not have entries be opinionated and avoid using "I" or "My". Sora's expressions can't be seen in a Fanfic so either this is simply added from canon, or its In Universe since Zarc is specifically mentioned. If Zarc isn't Evil at the moment, then the trope doesn't apply. For a character to cross the MEH, they have to be Irredeemable. As we all know, Sawatari will be redeemed and join the Lancers, so he doesn't count. In Universe examples belong on the main page, not the YMMV page.

* AccidentalInnuendo: Accidental ''my ass''. The author was fully aware of the innuendo behind Yaiba's new monster's name: "'''XXX'''-Saber Hannibal" and is fully expecting jokes to be made at Yaiba's expense.
* CreepyCute: Sora. He looks like a cute kid, but his expressions can become quite unsettling and don't even remotely belong on the face of a kid. Even Zarc notices how uneasy he feels whenever Sora develops such menacing expressions.

* EnsembleDarkHorse: In canon, Ray Akaba was seen as this by a few people. Fans of the story were absolutely shocked and thrilled to see her included in the story alongside Zarc.
* EvilIsCool: While Zarc isn't evil in this story thanks to his amnesia, his Supreme King Servant Dragons, particularly the ones bearing the names of the Dimensional Dragons, are [[EvilCounterpart darker versions]] of the Yu boys' monsters.
* GameBreaker: InUniverse and non-video game example. Zarc's deck is recognized as being unbelievably overpowered. [[FridgeLogic It makes sense his villain decks are typically made to be overpowered]]. Case in point, the Pendulum Effects of Zarc's Supreme King Gate Zero and Infinity: one negates any damage he would take if he has a Supreme King monster on the field, and the other gives him Life Points equal to the damage that was negated.
* MoralEventHorizon: Sawatari certainly crossed it when he purposely uses an Action Card to damage the tower that Yuzu, Ayu, Tatsuya and Futoshi are on and cause it to crumble into the ground, forcing Yuya to go over the alloted time he hass during his Turn to save them. If Yuya hadn't made it in time, Sawatari would have killed four kids just so he could delay his defeat. [[BewareTheNiceOnes He damn near finds himself staring death in the face as he accidentally wakes up the Demon Duelist inside Zarc]].
