* ToughActToFollow: The game itself is a victim of this, as many have noted the game is rather different from the creators' [[VisualNovel/ZeroEscape previous]] [[Franchise/{{Danganronpa}} games]], therefore it has a hard time living up to its expectations of the previous works. Not helping is that those who did not play the game (or only played the demo) have criticized it for being ''Danganronpa'' [[RecycledInSpace with kids as the participants]] even though the game does a BaitAndSwitch and is now a cross country journey back to Japan.

* UncannyValley: The character models do NOT translate well into CG.

* ToyShip: Pochi x Nyoro, Aniki x Pai and Reycho x Vanilla to name a few. An HoYay example involves Reycho x Pochi of course.
* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: The Go Getters Club briefly come off as this during when Pochi was revealed to be the traitor and even prior to that. They notably call Pochi useless (except for Nyoro and Vanilla) [[KickTheDog despite the fact he’s been helpful a handful of times]] and after that they immediately call off Pochi for being a traitor despite the fact Pochi was controlling Reycho who WAS the one who’s always been saving them. Fortunately they all realize how wrong they were and go to save Pochi after he’s been captured.
