* SignatureScene: Doom-Head's monologue at the beginning was heavily featured in marketing, and shows off the best of Richard Brake's performance.

* TookTheBadFilmSeriously: Richard Brake as Doom-Head gives far and away the best performances of the film, making the movie suddenly watchable whenever he shows up.

* CompleteMonster: Father Napoleon Horatio Silas Murder, Sister Dragon, and Sister Serpent are the twisted "{{aristocrats|Are Evil}}" who run [[DeadlyGame "Murder World"]]. Having innocents abducted and led into their own personal hell, they proceed to watch as the vicious [[AxCrazy Heads]] tear them apart for the amusement of the aristocrats who place bets on the outcome. With a legacy of murder and a staple of killers, the aristocrats are not above particularly sadistic flourishes such as setting out a feast for the contestants made from the remains of one of their fallen comrades. Even winning the game is no guarantee of survival, with an implication Father Murder will have any victor killed anyways.

* EvilIsCool: Any scene featuring Doom-Head is quite possibly the best parts of the entire movie. Even Creator/BradJones stated that he plays a much more disturbing [[Comicbook/TheJoker Joker]] than Creator/JaredLeto in ''Film/SuicideSquad2016'' (despite Brake having already played a personal Batman baddy as the killer of Bruce's parents, Joe Chill in ''Film/BatmanBegins'').
* FridgeHorror: The movie hinted that some of the Heads were forced into killing innocent people, or just said anything to be spared while begging for their lives. If they were once contestants who were lucky enough to survive 31 but the events of the game left them so psychologically damaged that killing people is their only source of normalcy then it paints an even more horrific picture concerning [[spoiler: Charly's fate]].

** At the end [[spoiler: Doom-Head pulls out two switch-blades, and offers one to Charly.]] It's not clear if he's being a FairPlayVillain, offering her a JoinOrDie, tempting her into RevengeBeforeReason, or just offering her a [[HeroicRematch rematch.]] This comes down to several question: would [[spoiler: Doom-Head let Charly walk away if she refused now that the game is over]], how did the experience [[spoiler: effect Charly]], and how does [[spoiler: Doom-Head]] THINK the experience effected her.
** Given how little we know of the rest of the Heads some of them were once contestants. And some of them could have been forced to compete like the current contestants.
