* TheWoobie: Suzkaiden, one of the contestants in season 3, ends up being this to the point where you'd think someone behind the scenes had some kind of beef with her. All what she had done was act enthusiastic about being on the show, have some screw ups on the first day and accidently lapse into Spanish at one point. This was enough to warrant everyone on the show despising her and using whatever opportunity they have to treat her like shit. By the sixth episode, where everyone did a survey about the remaining cast that ended with Suzkaiden being labelled as a giant liar, the most annoying person in the remaining cast and someone who shouldn't be in the competition[[note]]Yes, that last one was a question asked on the survey[[/note]], Suzkaiden spent the entire aftermath of the challenge all by herself in her room resting and not wanting to talk to any of the people who hate her guts. It got to the point where when Suzkaiden was kicked off the show in that same episode, the remaining contestants were ''celebrating'' that she left, which is something they only do for her and nobody else, and still used any opportunity they had to bully her.

* TooBleakStoppedCaring: A commonly-given reason for the show's failure in the third season: the series takes the whole "cutthroat competition" angle so far that most of the contestants come off as rather unlikeable. This is especially since the brunt of their animosity (bigged-up heavily in ManipulativeEditing) ended up being focused on Egoraptor and Suzkaiden, who are framed as villainous outcasts despite [[VillainyFreeVillain doing nothing to deserve such a reputation]].

* JustHereForGodzilla: Egoraptor's presence was the only reason a lot of people even bothered tuning in to season 3. Something Sony seemed acutely aware of, considering how his name was in the episode tags after he was eliminated. Once Egoraptor got kicked off for questionable reasons, the amount of views took one hell of a nosedive.

* DesignatedVillain: At the beginning of The Tester's third season, Sony's website had "WILL EGORAPTOR SURVIVE?" right on the front page. On the Website/YouTube upload, Egoraptor was the only contestant in the tags. When called out on this, Sony hastily added all the other contestants to the tags and used Ego's name after he was eliminated. And they tried to run his name into the ground with ManipulativeEditing, and pretty much made sure the judges gave him no mercy. Yeah, Sony. Get rid of the only thing that's making you get views. Nice going. To make it even worse, the grounds in which he is eliminated on, mainly "why didn't you stay behind and help your team", are heavily flawed, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fsqK8__j1w as this video shows]].

To make this worse, the following episode still has Egoraptor in the tags, so Sony is desperate enough to do that and get views. Classy.

** Arin occasionally [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVA72a3Ma6I talks about the show]] on ''WebVideo/GameGrumps'', and explains how they would manipulate his footage to make him look like an asshole and gave him flak over a Playstation account that wasn't his (he uses "rotparoge" instead of Egoraptor for online accounts).
