Where Luke trains under Obi-Wan to fight Space Nazis, Private Griff fights actual Nazis, and unlike the former's somewhat virginal nature, Griff is quite handsome and gets to make it with a Belgian resistance fighter, and where the InferredHolocaust of the Empire doesn't prevent Luke from seeing the good in Vader, the actual Holocaust makes Griff lose his few issues and doubts about shooting Nazis in cold blood.
