** The Freakshow AU, a darker version of the series focusing more on horror and gore, is gearing to be very popular with fans. This particular AU has the main cast more ruthless and hopeless towards each other than in canon, ''especially'' Caine and a part of Gangle.

Meanwhile, Pomni and Ragatha get to deal with Kaufmo, and Jax, Gangle, and Kinger get to deal with the Gloink Queen, leaving Zooble high and dry on having any plot importance despite their standout personality. They don't fare any better in the second episode, as they sit out the entire adventure in an attempt to hide from Caine, only truly showing up for [[spoiler:Kaufmo's funeral]] at the end. Their rather intricate design is also an interesting aspect about them to explore.

* DracoInLeatherPants: Canonically, Jax is nothing less than a pure {{Jerkass}} who bullies everyone for his own amusement, and is even confirmed by WordOfGod to be [[https://www.tumblr.com/gooseworx/731214850749087744 irredeemable]], [[https://www.tumblr.com/gooseworx/727692319309152256 utterly devoid of heroic qualities]], and [[https://www.tumblr.com/gooseworx/727662173561749504 most deserving to be trapped in the circus out of anyone]]. However, fans commonly interpreted Jax as a JerkWithAHeartOfGold who acts cruel so he [[SafetyInIndifference doesn't grow too attached to anybody]], and that his acts of {{Accidental Hero}}ism (i.e., knocking Gangle and Kinger into the Gloink nest before jumping into it himself to hide from Kaufmo) were more deliberate than they really were. This started to lessen after "Candy Carrier Chaos", where his antics become a ''lot'' more bloodthirsty and ruthless, and he comes across like a sociopath who only cares about causing chaos and abuses the others if they try to stop his "fun", with many people outright reversing their opinions of him and calling a "Jax-ass". It's not universal though, as he does still have plenty of defenders who justify his antics as being his form of stress relief or [[StrawNihilist the result of being trapped in a world where his actions ultimately don't matter]], and take note of his [[FreezeFrameBonus brief]] reaction to the mention of Kaufmo's funeral.

** For someone who was designed as an antagonist, Gummigoo proved to be surprisingly popular. Fans enjoyed his roguish yet caring nature, his existential crisis after discovering his nature as an NPC, and him bonding with Pomni that gave him hope despite what he learned. Many found it heartbreaking to see him getting deleted by Caine out of the blue for being an NPC.
