Five year would be considered 'pretty long'.

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The rendition of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gBSRoKA8oA Preserved Roses]], the opening of ''Anime/ValvraveTheLiberator'', that played during the ''Valvrave'' event, and ends up being reused during the ''Valvrave'' event in ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsDD''. Once again, Bandai Namco did justice to the anime music sang by two [[Music/TMRevolution big]] [[Creator/NanaMizuki names]] in Anime music territory.

* FetishRetardant: While ''Super Robot Wars'' is no stranger to {{Fanservice}} due to the character designs for its female OriginalGeneration, some fans find the use of it in ''X-Ω'' to be egregious - deliberate use of AbsoluteCleavage, {{Gainaxing}} and ShakingTheRump during a SuperMovePortraitAttack are present in the game, coupled with gross body proportions. * PlayTheGameSkipTheStory: Due to the more extreme state of NoExportForYou and the game continuously being updated, and the existence of the Skip button, there are many players that couldn't be bothered to try to search about the main story, the game's OriginalGeneration characters (the lot of them falling into FetishRetardant, as seen above, didn't help either) and treated the main story as nothing more than just things to be skipped (their only purpose is to get EXP points for Player Rank as well as extra Crystals for gacha). The limited-time events are mostly downplayed versions, since it only happened for a short time but featured more or less just the non-OG cast which were already known to many mecha anime watchers interacting with the event character of the moment.
* RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap: If ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsZ'' 2 managed to do a bit to [[Anime/MobileSuitGundam00 Nena Trinity]], this game does so even further within her limited time period, by basically giving her a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bG5mWT6_u2g redemption arc]] and teaming up with [[Anime/CrossAnge Ange and the Arzenal crew (and Salamandinay) against Embryo]] (and it helps that [[Anime/AuraBattlerDunbine Chum Huau]] manages to become her MoralityPet).
* UncannyValley: Faceless characters are nothing new for the franchise, with them usually being grunt enemy pilots, but this game also uses it for the portraits of [[https://imgur.com/a/ZaqNMQ2 generic civilian NPCs,]] which just look creepy due to them also having a fully visible upper body.

It seemed like ''Kantam Robo'' was the most far-fetched example yet for ''Super Robot Wars'' until it was beaten by ''Mujin Gattai Kisaragi'', which originates from ''Anime/TheIdolmaster'' {{Anime}} (a more faithful adaptation of the game) - essentially, it is a RealTrailerFakeMovie [[ShowWithinAShow Within A Show]] ''that only appeared for two minutes in one episode''.
