* ColbertBump: Despite actually getting a fairly lavish English release, Expelled from Paradise flew hard under the radar of many people outside of Japan in 2014. Its announcement for Terra put it on the radar for a lot of fans.

* Narm: While the translation of Super Robot Wars have been overall improving, during the English version trailer, it might be a bit jarring that they're going to render Van's "CHEEEESTOOOO!!" into "CHEEEEEST!!", which had a similar effect with how it was in VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGeneration The Moon Dwellers: It's supposed to be an archaic Japanese BattleCry, not an exclamation about the chest area of a human. At this point, they may be just running out of option for that particular word.

** To say that both the roster announcement and news of the game's English release alongside the JP release, just like X, in part because X had done well enough to justify doing so again was pretty much news of the year for global SRW fans would be the understatement of 2018.
** The roster does need to be highlighted; while the English option for V helped it sell overseas for the first time in ages, and while X caught some excitement for the quality of its localization, Terra was the first "international era" SRW to really capture hearts and imaginations at its mere announcement thanks to the 1-2-3 combo of including Harlock, Bebop and Rayearth, all of which are deeply beloved and have very devoted fanbases outside of Japan, never mind G Gundam and [=GaoGaiGar=] also returning and having ardent fans.

* WinTheCrowd: One of the criticisms aimed at VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsV and VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsX was how the RealRobot to SuperRobot series ratio on their respective rosters were in favor of the former, with V having a 2:1 ratio. T not only rounds out the roster with more SuperRobot entries, it brings together for the first time fan favorite HumongousMecha series Anime/Gunbuster, The King of Braves GaoGaiGar and G Gundam into an installment, something many have been looking forward to. Additionally, the debuts immediately won the hearts of many 1990s Anime fans with Anime/CowboyBebop and Manga/MagicKnightRayearth, the latter a heavily requested series for Super Robot Wars since the franchise took off.

** Also, while the "international project" had been going on for a few games prior to Terra (and could even said to have begun prior to V, with the English option that was included in The Moon Dwellers), Terra is the first game of this era there's always been a lot of suspicion about the older VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsW being rostered with an eye for international release, but that never went anywhere where it really feels like some of the series choices are pointedly angled at the international audience. Cowboy Bebop is really specious as a mecha show, but for English-speaking anime fans overall (especially the "boom kids" of the early [=2000s=]), it's one of the most beloved shows of all time and is an obvious pick as a draw for newcomers. Similarly, while Rayearth is hardly unpopular in Japan (and has been on the long-shot request list for ages), in the Anglosphere and especially the Hispanosphere it is deeply, deeply beloved and a cornerstone of a truly colossal number of childhoods, and the choice feels aimed even more at those fans than it does at fans in Japan. Harlock, similarly, was a cornerstone of the old, pre-Internet anime fandom and feels aimed squarely at the anime "greybeards" as an attraction, as much outside of Japan as in it.

** Also Anime/MagicKnightRayearth for being the first MagicalGirl series to ever debut.
** As well as the debut of Anime/CaptainHarlock, one of the most esteemed SpacePirate shows in Japan.
** A more minor one, but fans usually hailed Anime/MobileFighterGGundam and Anime/GaoGaiGar to be some of the most HotBlooded anime to embrace SRW (mainly because it features two most HotBlooded seiyuu, Creator/TomokazuSeki and Creator/NobuyukiHiyama, at their most HotBlooded roles) and yet they have never been under the same SRW... When the show is re-featured here, the second footage of G Gundam features Allenby Beardsley and Nobel Gundam, Sai Saici and his Dragon Gundam, which means that the Shuffle Alliance will be back and the plot of the show will be featured once again.

Trider G7 is clearly included to substitute for Anime/Daitarn3, and even though it's yet another unit reused from Z3 that will almost certainly not receive plot significance, it's hard to imagine many fans being upset as Daitarn 3s inexplicable GrandfatherClause being ignored for once.
