* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: Mantid. Or did he just go off the deep end and beyond redemption [[spoiler: by attempting to destroy an entire world full of innocents as vengeance [[DisproportionateRetribution in response to]] the loss of his love?]]

* FanNickname:
** Iggy for Igneous.
** Mantid's Fortress in reference to his castle. In the show it's actually referred to as a citadel, but due to "Mantid's Fortress" being the name of a popular fan forum, it stuck. Additionally, the room in the castle where Aqune chants is sometimes called "Aqune's Parlor" by fans, in reference to a line she used in the dub. It otherwise has no particular name.
** The Ultimate Machine-Sector/Dark Opal is referred to as "Providence" by some Japanese fans, as a [[Creator/ToshihikoSeki seiyuu gag]].

* AwesomeMusic: The English opening theme, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xUW3vaw0cg "Calling All Spider Riders"]]. There's a very good chance that even if some one doesn't remember watching the show, they'll remember the theme song.

* Woolseyism: When Lumen goes to confront Beerain to take the Oracle Key back from her in episode 26, some lines are added in the English dub to reference Lumen being over his crush on Beerain that he developed in episode 19. This prevents the episode from being a BigLippedAlligatorMoment like it was in the Japanese version.
