Playing as him/her has you going down atrocity after atrocity with no sense of morality that put [[GodOfWar Kratos]] at his worst to shame, the only hints of redemption come if you lose FinalBattle, and nothing you do is PlayedForLaughs. But as horrifying as that it is, it's undeniable that there's a degree of awesome playing as a BigBad that ends with with a borderline ZeroPercentApproval through their sheer depravity and still triumph of all that stands in your way.]]

* NamesTheSame: No, the "World Eaters" in the title have nothing to do with the [[Warhammer40K Khorne-worshiping Space Marines.]]

* CounterpartComparison: IllGirl Euphoria looks like an older bovine Castille[[spoiler:, Endorph's sister from ''PhantomBrave'' who was also an ill girl. Depending on how you see it, Endorph/Walnut eventually falling for and marrying Euphoria can lead to some rather UnfortunateImplications.]]

** One can also call how she deals with Danette. [[spoiler: She sees a child suffering from the memory of her parent's death, so she seals the memory. Which also leaves her stupid to the point of brain damage. Virtuous-as-Layna clearly has no understanding of people, despite good intent.]]

* CompleteMonster: An infamous example in [[spoiler:[[ChaoticEvil Demon Path Revya]].]] Most of the game's villains have a few redeeming qualities and at the very least, an understandable motivation. Not so for this one, who goes from [[BloodbathVillainOrigin one]] [[WouldHurtAChild atrocity]] [[MoralEventHorizon to]] [[OmnicidalManiac another]] in a hell-bent quest to destroy everything and everyone purely ForTheEvulz, maintaining a casual, almost ForTheLulz attitude throughout the entire thing.

* CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming: [[spoiler:The Demon Path is about the last place you might expect this, but if you lose the last battle of said path, you get the 'good' ending where Gig recovers from his brainwashing and [[AscendToAHigherPlaneOfExistence returns to his duties as a Master of Death]]. The heroes seal Revya into the now empty Onyx Blade. Inside, your character meets... Danette, who decided to join your character, not wanting you to suffer alone despite everything you did, and then sings your character to sleep using a lullaby your character would sing to her when they were kids.]]
** Thorndyke and Penn reuniting after he thought Penn died when he was just a toddler. Also counts as a TearJerker. Penn showing that he's more mature than you think when he decides not to live with his dad because he didn't want to ruin his little brother's future and he was happy with the Nereids... Just plain touching.
** [[spoiler:The Levin ending. Either gender is considered one, but female Revya's Levin ending deserves special mention, especially when she sees a pretty flower and Levin tries to say that it's nowhere near as pretty as her, but can't exactly get the words out. Awwwww...]]

** [[{{Disgaea}} Laharl]] [[OneSceneWonder berates you]] [[spoiler:[[OneSceneWonder if you chose the Overlord title when you're prompted to choose one in the Demon Path]]]].

* GameBreaker: Gideons. They've been compared to Majins in the DisgaeaHourOfDarkness for how broken they are.

* OneSceneWonder: When prompted [[spoiler:to choose a title in the Demon Path]], choose the second choice. Enter [[spoiler:the voice of [[DisgaeaHourOfDarkness Laharl]], which berates you for taking the title of an Overlord lightly and complains that he went through so much abuse for it]], and disappears. Gig and Revya think they're hearing things, and [[BigLippedAlligatorMoment no ever speaks of it again]]. The moment is one of the most famous in the game.
