** In the original video on ''VideoGame/MonsterHunterWorld'', there's a scene where Bill and Bogues fall out of their [[UsefulNotes/PlayStation4 PS4]], see a UsefulNotes/NintendoSwitch and promptly run back into the former in abject horror, the joke seemingly being a jab at the Switch for not having a mainline Monster Hunter game yet (with Capcom explicitly denying that ''World'' would receive a Switch release due to the console's comparatively low specs). [[VideoGame/MonsterHunterRise Just over three years later, however...]]

** King Dedede too. A majority of the time, like in canon, he's not even doing anything truly evil yet that still doesn't stop Kirbo from giving him various over the top punishments such as ''swallowing all of his insides''. At least teaming up with Kirbo in "Something About Kirby 64" has Kirbo finally [[PetTheDog going easy on him for a change]].

* JerkassWoobie: [[IneffectualSympatheticVillain Bowser.]] Yes, he's just as villainous as in canon, but absolutely nothing goes right for him, usually ending in a painful slap to his face. It gets to the point where in ''Something About Super Mario 64'' and ''Something About Super Mario World'', he doesn't even try to fight Mario by the end, instead trying and failing to just get away!

** Robotnik also qualifies as this too. He may be as evil as in canon like Bowser, but also like Bowser, he's just as much of an IneffectualSympatheticVillain who is almost always constantly thwarted by Sonic in various embarrassing ways and is shown to not stand even a single remote chance against the blue hedgehog to the point that he gets his [[NeckSnap neck]] ''[[NeckSnap snapped]]'' when unfortunately put up against a [[SuperMode Super Chili Dogs powered]] Sonic.

* GeniusBonus: Whenever characters use glitches or are sequence-breaking, there's a high chance it's a well documented tactic in the speedrun community. Besides pannenkoek2012 references, "Something About Zelda Breath of the Wild" and "Something About Super Mario All-Stars" are in effect adaptations of Any% runs of the featured games.
