* PanderingToTheBase: Some viewers accuse this series of doing this with its excessive focus on Sora[=/=]Mashiro. * TheyChangedItSoItSucks: The villainous generals interacting with each other and/or their higher-ups (generally a norm beforehand) was axed for this season, replaced by a DebutQueue. This has received a few small complaints, as some feel the interactions added some personality to the villains along with being relatively comedic at times.

* CrossoverShip: Ever since their interactions in ''Pretty Cure All Stars F'', Tsubasa[=/=][[Anime/GoPrincessPrettyCure Haruka]] has developed a decent following, thanks to their LadyAndKnight dynamic which isn't quite different from the former's loyalty to the princess Elle.

** Kabaton and Minoton returning together in Episode 47 implies the two have reconciled off-screen. Beforehand, Minton, in his debut, only saw his younger brother Kabaton with shame.

* CrossoverShip: Ever since their interactions in ''Pretty Cure All Stars F'', Tsubasa[=/=][[Anime/GoPrincessPrettyCure Haruka]] has a decent following thanks to their LadyAndKnight dynamic that isn't quite different from the former's loyalty to the princess Elle.

** Sora is one big time, being a FishOutOfWater afraid of losing her first and closest friend (who she [[LesYay cares deeply about]]) and forgetting how hard things like defeat can truly be (until she forced to make a SadisticChoice involving her idol which temporarily breaks her) while also trying to put up a brave face for Mashiro and Elle.
** Mashiro is a sweet cinnamon bun who adopts Elle as her daughter ''on sight'', and is the sweetest, kindest person you could ever meet, with the moments where she breaks down being so heart-rending, you want to hug her and tell her it'll be okay.

* LesYay: It wouldn't be [=PreCure=] without some of this from fans...
** As noted below in PreemptiveShipping, fans were shipping Cure Sky and Cure Prism before the show even started. Prism having regular rainbow colors doesn't hurt.
** The entire of Episode 6 is Sora coming to terms that she can't continue on with her life without Mashiro at her side, being unable to last more than a few hours without her companionship, and almost manages to confess the fact.
** Episode 13 has Sora and Mashiro initially denying (well, trying not to think about it) and finally coming to realize they will be separated when Sora takes Elle-chan home, ending with them crying and HoldingHands.
** Episode 24 sees Mashiro see the Cures ''as a family'', with her and Sora as Ellee's parents.
** Episode 45 and 47 have the interactions between Ellelain and the Undergu Empress be incredibly close, with Ellelain ''unquestioningly'' trusting the Empress upon their first meeting, and until their final days together, the Empress repaid that trust '''''in spades'''''.

* {{Moe}}: '''Elle'''. She was easily one of the cutest Pretty Cure characters ''ever'', probably even beating Hugtan in terms of being adorable... That is until [[Anime/WonderfulPrettyCure the following season]] introduced a PreciousPuppy as the '''''lead cure'''''.

* HeartwarmingInHindsight: Just looking back at Sora and Mashiro's early interactions with Elle, the King and Queen didn't need to make any effort to find Elle's parents. ''They found each other by themselves.''
** Even more heartwarming is ''how'' Elle's mother knew exactly what would happen to Elle. [[spoiler: Elle, along with her surrogate parents, ''met'' Ellelain, Elle's birth mother, and impressed her immensely.]]

** A gag in episode 8 has Sora barking like a dog, only for the very [[Anime/WonderfulPrettyCure next series]] to have a dog, outright, as its lead Cure.
** [[spoiler:Cure Sky's corrupted form]] has her having a dark right wing. Yes, we're all thinking about [[Characters/FinalFantasyVIISephiroth him]].
