* WhatDoYouMeanItsNotForKids: ''Sleepless Domain'' follows a similar path as ''Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica'' in that it starts off appearing like a standard cute MagicalGirl plot only to [[SacrificialLion have a dark twist early on]] and turn out to be a MagicalGirlGenreDeconstruction. Much of ''Sleepless Domain'' is dedicated to how Undine and Tessa try to move past the traumatic event of [[spoiler:the rest of their team getting slaughtered during a routine mission.]]

* IronWoobie: Heartful Punch gets entangled with Undine's troubles and gets narrowly devoured by a monster because of it, and that's on top of all the "normal" dangers that come from magical girl duty ''and'' [[spoiler:losing her mom at an early age and being estranged from her dad since he doesn't approve of her working as a magical girl]]. Regardless, she takes all of this in stride and keeps on trucking.

This is despite having had only three appearances over the course of the comic by that point. The next poll has her shoot straight up to 3rd place. The comics based on the polls show that even Zoe was surprised by her popularity.
