It's even more disturbing if you interpret the Raw Shocks as manifestations of [[spoiler:Cheryl's ''[[IfYouKnowWhatIMean longing]]'' for her father. "I love my daddy," indeed]].
** The choking game ghost.
** The "Wicked and Weak" ending. To summarize, [[spoiler:Cheryl is walking through her house, only to come upon Dahlia yelling at Harry in a VERY realistic way, hitting him and storming off]]. What's really scary is that [[spoiler:it's not over-the-top yelling or ridiculous. It's legitimate beefs that a wife could say to her husband]] taken UpToEleven.
** [[spoiler:The underwater car sequence]]. Utterly trapped, with nothing you do having any effect, a very real helplessness made worse when the Raw Shocks start appearing and the frozen windows tell you to GIVE UP.

** The whole concept of the game can be one if you can relate to [[spoiler:a parent dying in a car crash when you were young]].
** The endings in general is known to be quite affecting for fathers and daughters.
