Ron The Death Eater is now about general fandom trends of painting the hero in a bad light, not specific episodes/fanfics.

* RonTheDeathEater: Many fans call out Mordecai for killing Rigby and label him as a "simp" for killing him over Margaret. What these fans forget is that Mordecai didn't mean to kill Rigby (he did say "I'll kill you", but a lot of people say that but don't mean it) and that Rigby had been provoking him throughout the episode just because he didn't want to admit he was jealous. Rigby even went as far as to ''go out on a date with Margaret'' just to spite Mordecai. ''Anyone'' would want to punch him at that point.

* UnintentionallySympathetic: Even though the whole plot could've been stopped if Mordecai just admitted that he was jealous of Rigby flirting with Margaret, you have to feel some empathy for the guy whose [[WithFriendsLikeThese best friend]] keeps deliberately provoking him just because he wanted to try to go on a date with a girl he likes instead of seeing a zombie movie with him. Not helping is Rigby asking Margaret on a date in front of Mordecai and bragging about to him for ''hours''. [[DisproportionateRetribution All because Mordecai didn't want to admit that he was jealous]].

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Rigby is meant to be seen as justified for telling off Mordecai for not being able to talk to Margaret and refusing to see a movie with him, except he comes off as a petty jerk for continuously rubbing it into Mordecai's face, even when the latter was slowly reaching his boiling point. Though it was wrong of Mordecai to kill him (albeit unintentionally), he still comes off as an AssholeVictim given his unreasonable actions beforehand. Not only that, but Rigby shoved Mordecai ''first'' when they were fighting in the vortex.

* AccidentalAesop: You should give in to a bully's (or [[WithFriendsLikeThese "best friend's"]]) demands, even if it's embarrassing, it's not okay to be jealous or angry when your friend flirts with your crush, even when he's doing it ''intentionally'' out of spite, and it's ''not'' okay to [[BrosBeforeHoes choose to ask a girl out on a movie date instead of seeing a zombie film with your friend]].

* WhatAnIdiot: Mordecai could've let Rigby embarrass himself and make him miss his date completely if he hadn't hinted that Rigby's watch was missing the battery. Or, he could've at least sabotage all the other clocks in the house beforehand to avoid the microwave scene.
