** Some Bronies weren't very happy when he trashed ''WesternAnimation/EquestriaGirls''.

* CryForTheDevil: During his review of ''Film/{{Downfall}}'', Emer seemed openly shocked that he feels sympathy for UsefulNotes/AdolfHitler while watching the movie.

* AcceptablePoliticalTargets: Emer made mention that he had no problem watching Nazis die violently in movies, citing that they deserve it simply on the grounds that they're Nazis.

** At the end of his Bottom 5 ''Reaction & Review'' Movies of 2016 video, he talks about how he hopes most of the films he sees in 2017 will end up being good, going as far as to say that he hopes that he won't even have a Bottom 5 list by the end of it...

* EndingFatigue: Emer experienced this in ''Elf Bowling'' [[UpToEleven only a third of the way in]]. He sees Santa defeat Dingle in a game of Elf Bowling, and laments that there's still an hour left of runtime.

* FunnyAneurysmMoment: Towards the end of his Bottom 5 for 2016, he hopes that "2017 will be a year where I don't ''have'' a Bottom 5". As you can see in other parts of the page, his wish was rather tragically granted.

* EightDeadlyWords: Quite often, Emer cited that he couldn't find a reason to care about the characters in the movies he reviews.

* CriticalResearchFailure: Every time Emer reviewed a ''Superman'' movie that featured Kryptonite, he constantly stated that Kryptonite is radioactive, thus anyone who isn't from Krypton should die of radiation. Something he didn't seem to know or neglect is that ever since ''Film/SupermanTheMovie'', most adaptations (including comic book reboots) have abandoned the radiational power of Kryptonite.
** His review of ''Body Melt'' starts with him criticizing the credits song as "what dubstep would've sounded like if some stupid retard created it in '93 as opposed to 2010 or so". While his claim of this music being a prototype for dubstep[[note]]not counting the Jamaican sound system party scene in the 1980s[[/note]] ''is'' correct, dubstep had actually indeed originated in the in the 1990s in South London. The earliest forms of dubstep were created in 1998 specifically, [[AccidentallyAccurate five years after the film's release.]]

As various commenters pointed out in his ''WebVideo/{{Kickassia}}'' review, the ([[UnknownRival one-sided]]) feud between Doug and Emer ended in Emer's favor, posthumously.

* RootingForTheEmpire: He openly admitted he was rooting for the ship to beat the badly-written, unsympathetic protagonists in ''Film/EventHorizon''. This was also the same case with several other films, as he found the Alien Bong to be the only likable character in ''Evil Bong 3'', and simply wanted the aliens to destroy the human race in ''Film/Battleship''.
