* NightmareFuel:
** Stages 1 and 2 are a shopping mall and a village, respectively, both taken over by terrorists. This can be too close to comfort for those who live in or have lived in terrorist-infested regions.
** In the console versions, Guerra straps one of your allies to a missile and ''wires the detonator inside him''. The saving grace is that BloodlessCarnage and GoryDiscretionShot is in full effect.

The saving grace game is that BloodlessCarnage and GoryDiscretionShot is in full effect.made from advanced tech. Enemy missiles outright ''disappear'' on contact like they pass right through you rather than explode or anything.

* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments: Failing the [[spoiler:bridge defense]] segment at the end of Stage 3. [[spoiler:Considering how high up you and your allies are, you'd expect casualties when the bridge gets destroyed, but said allies merely complain "that sucked" as if being blown down from a great height was a minor setback, and then remark that their mission is complete.]]

* BreatherLevel: The final level of the arcade. It has some epic moments, but it's still easier than the last two levels, because there are no civilians to avoid getting shot, no dog tags to distract you, and plenty of environmental objects you can attack for a massive bonus and easier kills. At one point, HACS attack you but are no longer a threat because you have the Cluster Shot. Eventually subverted, however, as it's only easy to make you feel cool about yourself and give you a break before the ''very, very difficult'' FinalBoss.

* SequelDifficultyDrop: Compared to ''Time Crisis'' series, which generally only give you split second to avoid red soldiers shooting, the threat circle in ''Razing Storm'' gives the player at least 3-7 seconds to react as the circle closes in for a shot. Also deploying shield did not block the point of view, allowing the players to scout the situation.

** It's also this compared to ''Crisis Zone'', as there are more enemies that goes down in one shot (unlike ''Crisis Zone'' where most enemies could withstand more than one shot) and those that didn't often has relatively small HP or being heavily armored.
