* ObviousBeta: The iOS version, which is a mess of bugs. Most of the time when launching it, it crashes right back to the Springboard before it can get to the first LoadingScreen. And when it actually loads, your dealing with a huge amount of LoadsAndLoadsOfLoading in game because it slows down a lot, mostly unresponsive touch screen controls, and (if you playing on an iPod or iPhone) cards that aren't easy to see depending on the skin.

* ThatOneAchievement: Fortunately, unlike the first game, there's none requiring you to get specific hands. Unfortunately, "We are the 1%", requires you to get $1,000,000 in lifetime balance, which means winning several games in a row without losing too much. If you're not good at Poker, you're not gonna be getting this for a long long time.

** It's hard to get by playing honestly, anyway. It's quite easy to get if you cheat by SaveScumming.

** The game has some fun with Sam and Max’s relationship, both debunking their romance whilst also giving some teasing toward them actually dating. For example, Ash speaks to Sam about his 25-year relationship with Max as if he's talking to a couple that's been married for a long time.

** Sam wishes he had a "manly, dame-swooning jawbone" like Brock and Ash. However, he sounds less interested in making ladies swoon to him and more interested in those two.

* SequelDifficultyDrop: As far as getting items is concerned. For the special items, in the first game, the chances to get them came up randomly, and you had to specifically knock the character out to win the item. In this game, you earn a shot at one of the special items by completing certain objectives, and once you get the chance, all you have to do is win that tournament to get the item. You're given more forewarning, and you don't have to change your strategy to try to win the item, so it's less nerve-wracking overall. And for the tables, card backs, and chips, you buy them with inventory tokens, and you'll get some tokens even if you lost the tournament, so you'll unlock everything eventually.
* TaintedByThePreview: The lack of ''WebAnimation/HomestarRunner'' characters hasn't been met with much warmth from the fanbase desperate for a sign that the site ain't dead.

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Unlike the previous game, this one keeps the player's gender more ambiguous, with Sam even pulling the "You don't even like girls" gag when Max gives them a smooch (albeit still not being able to identify the player's gender) and while [=GLaDOS=] is very sardonic towards everybody at the table, she has a much more notable hatred of the player. Several fans have assumed that the player is actually [[VideoGame/{{Portal}} Chell]] this time around.

** In one full group conversation, Claptrap suggests that the four of them, representing the four main branches of geek culture, should make a conglomerate. When asked about his contract working for Creator/GearboxSoftware, he launches into an angry rant that gets interrupted by [[{{Brainwashing}} a visible override]] as he praises his company and makes fun of himself. Amusing enough in the context of Gearbox, which has done well for itself, but considering the future financial situation and public opinion of the company that made ''this'' game, Creator/TelltaleGames...
*** Now has become even more harsher now that Gearbox's reputation has taken a massive nosedive. From refusing to pay their workers bonuses to allegations that they embezzled money from their contract with Sega to fund Borderlands 2. The most damning thing is CEO Randy Pitchford getting into a violent fight with Claptrap's VA David Eddings, causing them to leave the company. It puts the whole joke in a much darker light now.
