There was no one in the tower Hoopa teleported them all out. And no one dies in Pokémon.

* DesignatedHero: Some fans began pointing the finger towards Ash and Hoopa as this. When Shadow Hoopa first flings a tower at them, Ash orders Pikachu to destroy the tower and not acknowledge the ramifications of killing the innocent people inside of it. Then, it was Hoopa who inspired Shadow Hoopa to summon legendaries by summoning them first. Rather than lead them into the desert where fewer lives will be lost, Ash diverts the attack to the city streets where countless people could possibly die.

Must have Word of God to be moved to the Trivia page.

* AuthorsSavingThrow: After ''[[Anime/PokemonGenesectAndTheLegendAwakened Genesect and the Legend Awakened]]'' and its questionable use of a different individual Legendary, it's hard not to see the implications that some Legendaries are the same from their past movies as this.

** Shadow Hoopa somehow being able to control multiple Legendaries like Giratina, Palkia, and Dialga.

*** Latios' entire presence in this movie doesn't make much sense considering [[HeroicSacrifice what he did]] at the end of ''Anime/PokemonHeroes''. This mostly applies to the dub audience because the dub truncated ''Heroes'' to remove the explanation.

Added DiffLines:

** Arceus himself is foreshadowed throughout the movie and apparently lent his Plates to forge the Prison Bottle, but his role is limited to a DeusExMachina with no dialogue.

* NarmCharm: There ''are'' a good number of people who actually find Regigigas's cry awesome as much as they find it laughable.

* NarmCharm: There ''are'' a good number of people who actually find Regigigas's cry awesome as much as they find it laughable. Or at least appropriately pitiful, considering that it already has a MemeticLoser reputation from its crippling Slow Start ability and this movie cements it by making it barely able to do anything before going down.

* BrokenBase: Ash spending a lengthy portion of the movie's beginning in just a swimsuit. Either you enjoy the {{fanservice}} as this was the only proper shirtless scene he had in the XY era or you hate it for stealing time from developing the plot and characters.

Kind of shoehorned compared to eveyrthing else, it's just a show of Pikachu's power. Not really something that is inconsistent

** Hoopa tears off the top of a skyscraper and sends it hurling at the main characters. Pikachu inexplicably turns it to dust with a single thunderbolt.

* BaseBreakingCharacter:
** Ash himself for some. Some see him as a one-man SpotlightStealingSquad or you see it as natural for him to be commanding {{Physical God}}s as the movie's main protagonist.
** Hoopa, lovable comic relief or an annoying loon.

* MostAnnoyingSound:
** "Were you surprised?" No, Hoopa. Not really. Not when you keep saying it [[CatchPhrase over and over and over again]].
** "Alléhooparing!" can be just as irritating, if not moreso by the end of the movie when Hoopa has summoned many different things, using that phrase for bring each one.

** [[spoiler: The time-space warp]]. How it happens raises a few eyebrows [[spoiler:("[[AwesomenessIsVolatile too many Legendaries together]]" seems like a bizarre cause, as multiple Legendaries have appeared together at once before with no warping of time and space anywhere, and it's not specified as a direct result of having the Creation trio involved)]], and its only real purpose is to force a climax onto the movie and make it run for longer than it needs to. That said, the specific line is that "too many were summoned", which may be related more to Hoopa's portals damaging space due to too many being used in a short span of time (in other words, Hoopa had never summoned so many Legendaries before). However, there is still room for absurdity in this scenario, due to the fact that the literal [[spoiler: [[PhysicalGod physical gods of time and space]]]] are present, yet they couldn't fix this problem, which clearly is within the bounds of their power.
