* RealismInducedHorror: Yes, Bart casually killing people is disturbing, but the tone of the book makes it come off as over-the-top BlackComedy. Part of the genuine horror from the book is that Bart is a fast-food employee who ''routinely'' poisons the food he cooks with items like [[spoiler:bugs, semen, and dead animal flesh]] without a single person realizing what they're eating. Even worse, he never gets caught. Bart could've easily tampered the food with lethal poison and killed dozens and he would've gotten away with it.
