'''Instead''': The Queen opts for her new CoolSword (and ''only'' her CoolSword; not even her GameBreaker levels of magic are used) even though she can't use the full extent of its power outside of her SuperMode, and tries to run Black Queen through. * LesYay: The main pairing of this fic is Majorin x the Queen, both of whom are female.

* TheyJustDidntCare: By the author's own admission. She has made it clear that she does not care about the quality of her writing. All she really seems to care about is how much fun she'll have writing it, and even then it has to be in her own way. Several of her {{Author Tract}}s both in this story and in her others cement this.

* AntiClimaxBoss: Non-VideoGame example. For all the hype of her being the most powerful of the Shadows, Black Queen goes down far too easily and does little other than give orders for her minions to follow. Justified, since the Queen was in a DeusExMachina SuperMode when the "fight" did occur.

* DeusExMachina: The Queen's [[SuperMode Super Witch Form]] due to the lack of foreshadowing.

* StrangledByTheRedString: Majorin and the Queen. There was no true reason or explanation whatsoever for their romantic interest toward the end of the fic other than "the author likes the pairing". In fact, it would seem the entire story is little more than a glorified ExcusePlot to shove one of the author's favorite pairings down everyone's throats; the only other thing would to show off the Queen's fanmade SuperMode.

* FridgeBrilliance: A few examples:
** When Evil Rin kills Majorin but doesn't die with her when the Queen says something about it, Shadow Hazuki explains that a Shadow continues living even when their Light Half dies. This doesn't make any sort of sense...until you realize that even a corpse still casts a shadow...
** Evil Rin expresses a lust for the Queen that Majorin doesn't display. Seeing as Majorin and Evil Rin are connected in a way, this doesn't make much sense...until you realize that the ShadowArchetype trope is about a character who expresses what another character conceals/doesn't know about themselves. This implies (and eventually confirms) Majorin as having the hots for the Queen in this fic.
* FridgeLogic: The goal of the Shadows is to use a spell in the Book of Shadows in conjunction with the Seven Seals to set all Shadows free. However, it has been shown that the Shadows can leave their Light Halves at will, so why is this spell needed? The author, when called out on it, confessed to not giving it much thought when writing it.
* FridgeHorror: It is explained in-fic that Shadows do not die with their Light Halves. Considering how many people are murdered or die from unnatural causes combined with the loophole presented in ''Witches At World's End'', and we might just have more Shadows than Light Beings...several of which looking exactly like our deceased loved ones.

* RomanticPlotTumor: The plot of Majorin actually loving the Queen ultimately takes precedence over the fight between Light Beings and Shadows. The sequel, going by external sources and what is already written, is just as bad.

* CharacterDerailment: The Queen. In canon, she is wise, benevolent if strict, is competent enough to keep a MagicalLand from going under for over 100 years and then some, and is more than willing to put her life and/or magical power on the line if it means saving the Ojamajos from the BigBad, the power of whom putting hers to shame. Here, she is portrayed as being a rather helpless DamselInDistress who is used as a hostage by the BigBad and makes a decidedly [[TooDumbToLive unwise decision that got Majorin killed]].

* StrangledByTheRedSting: Majorin and the Queen. There was no true reason or explanation whatsoever for their romantic interest toward the end of the fic other than "the author likes the pairing". In fact, it would seem the entire story is little more than a glorified ExcusePlot to shove one of the author's favorite pairings down everyone's throats; the only other thing would to show off the Queen's fanmade SuperMode.

* AssPull: The Queen having the ability to ignore the rules of magic (read: bringing back the dead) come completely out of left field.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: The story's prologue spoke of various Shadows dying OffScreen and it being a reason why Black Queen is gathering her forces to try and TakeOverTheWorld. It would have been interesting to see more details added and it would have given Black Queen more depth as a character, but this was completely dropped in favor of making her look more evil instead AND adds a RomanticPlotTumor.

* CompleteMonster: Black Queen. The one redeeming quality of hers (mentioning that several of her kind had been dying lately and wanting to do something about it) is later dropped entirely in favor of making her look more evil.
