"What an Idiot!" is now Flame Bait.

* WhatAnIdiot: The Queen right before the climax.\\
'''You'd expect''': The Queen would, after freeing herself from her bonds, to silently move away and either A) [[CombatPragmatist ambush Black Queen]], thereby interrupting, if not outright stopping the spell and possibly let her steal one or more of the Seven Seals to use for herself or B) escape and regroup.\\
'''Instead''': She announces her intentions to stop Black Queen's EvilPlan and launches an attack. Black Queen effortlessly parries the attack since she now had plenty of time to prepare. This leads to Evil Rin trying to run her though with her dagger, forcing Majorin to take the hit and die as a result.
** And we get this gem from ''Witches at World's End'', courtesy of, once again, the Queen:\\
'''You'd expect''': The Queen, after sensing Black Queen's return, to get the Seven Seals and use her SuperMode to guarantee a win on her part and stop Black Queen once and for all. Or, at the very least, force Black Queen to reveal her ace early and give the protagonists ample time to prepare countermeasures for it.\\
'''Instead''': The Queen opts for her new CoolSword (and ''only'' her CoolSword; not even her GameBreaker levels of magic are used) even though she can't use the full extent of its power outside of her SuperMode, and tries to run Black Queen through. Cue CurbstompBattle, and ''not'' in the Queen's favor.

Added DiffLines:

* HilariousInHindsight: This fic has the Witch Queen gain angelic wings and thus look less like a witch and more like an angel in 2010-2011. Fast forward to ''Anime/MahoGirlsPrecure'' in early 2015, and we see both Precures gaining a set of angelic wings toward the end of ''[[Anime/PrettyCureAllStars Everyone Sing - Miraculous Magic]]'', where they look less like Witch Precures and more like angels.

* TheyJustDidntCare: By the author's own admission. She has made it clear that she does not care about the quality of her writing. All she really seems to care about is how much fun she'll have writing it, and even then it has to be in her own way. Several of her {{Author Tract}}s both in this story and in her others cement this.

Per a suggestion in Ask The Tropers, removing and replacing on main page with Anti Climax

* AntiClimaxBoss: Non-VideoGame example. For all the hype of her being the most powerful of the Shadows, Black Queen goes down far too easily and does little other than give orders for her minions to follow. Justified, since the Queen was in a DeusExMachina SuperMode when the "fight" did occur.

Non-ymmv item. Transferring accordingly.

* DeusExMachina: The Queen's [[SuperMode Super Witch Form]] due to the lack of foreshadowing.

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Are the Shadows really as evil as the fic says? Or are they simply trying to survive their own inevitable demise? And are they simply annoyed to insanity from having no choice but to [[JerkassWoobie listen in on their]] [[AndIMustScream Light Halves' quirks throughout their whole lives]]?

* StrangledByTheRedString: Majorin and the Queen. There was no true reason or explanation whatsoever for their romantic interest toward the end of the fic other than "the author likes the pairing". In fact, it would seem the entire story is little more than a glorified ExcusePlot to shove one of the author's favorite pairings down everyone's throats; the only other thing would to show off the Queen's fanmade SuperMode.

Creating Fridge tab. Transferring accordingly.

* FridgeBrilliance: A few examples:
** When Evil Rin kills Majorin but doesn't die with her when the Queen says something about it, Shadow Hazuki explains that a Shadow continues living even when their Light Half dies. This doesn't make any sort of sense...until you realize that even a corpse still casts a shadow...
** Evil Rin expresses a lust for the Queen that Majorin doesn't display. Seeing as Majorin and Evil Rin are connected in a way, this doesn't make much sense...until you realize that the ShadowArchetype trope is about a character who expresses what another character conceals/doesn't know about themselves. This implies (and eventually confirms) Majorin as having the hots for the Queen in this fic.
* FridgeLogic: The goal of the Shadows is to use a spell in the Book of Shadows in conjunction with the Seven Seals to set all Shadows free. However, it has been shown that the Shadows can leave their Light Halves at will, so why is this spell needed? The author, when called out on it, confessed to not giving it much thought when writing it.
* FridgeHorror: It is explained in-fic that Shadows do not die with their Light Halves. Considering how many people are murdered or die from unnatural causes combined with the loophole presented in ''Witches At World's End'', and we might just have more Shadows than Light Beings...several of which looking exactly like our deceased loved ones.

* RomanticPlotTumor: The plot sub-plot of Majorin actually loving the Queen ultimately takes precedence over the fight between Light Beings and Shadows.Shadows. Said sub-plot isn't mentioned in the summary whatsoever and only comes into play around the middle of the story, yet the main plot of Light vs. Shadows eventually comes off as just an ExcusePlot for shoving Majorin x the Queen down the reader's throats. The sequel, going by external sources and what is already written, is just as bad.

* CharacterDerailment: The Queen. In canon, she is wise, benevolent if strict, is competent enough to keep a MagicalLand from going under for over 100 years and then some, and is more than willing to put her life and/or magical power on the line if it means saving the Ojamajos from the BigBad, the power of whom putting hers to shame. Here, she is portrayed as being a rather helpless DamselInDistress who is used as a hostage by the BigBad and makes a decidedly [[TooDumbToLive unwise decision that got Majorin killed]].

* WriterCopOut: The story slowly builds up to a final battle against the Shadows for the fate of all worlds and we're in for an epic showdown. Most of the other heroes are dead either from HeroicSacrifice or having fallen in battle, and the Queen is the only one left standing. Then...we get the Queen swiping the MacGuffin and going into a DeusExMachina SuperMode that just curbstomps the bad guys without the slightest of difficulty. Then we have said Queen using her SuperMode to bring back the other heroes and not die because its a SuperMode that lets her ignore the rules of magic.
