* WereStillRelevantDammit: "Text Support" focuses on Twilight trying to decipher an emoji text from Timber Spruce and asking either Rarity, Fluttershy or Sunset Shimmer on how to respond. It doesn't take away from the rest of the short, in fact it seems get a bit of LampshadeHanging on the ridiculousness in how each girl tells her to respond, but it's still a bit jarring knowing that this is an active plot point in a piece of ''Franchise/MyLittlePony'' media.

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: In the Choose Applejack ending of Fluttershy’s Butterflies, Fluttershy tells Applejack that she has visualized the audience as her. After that we see an Imagine Spot of an audience of Applejacks yelling, “We believe in you, Fluttershy!”

** New characters being introduced in the human world. In this case however, the debate seems to be centered on one of the two characters confirmed to have this happening to them: [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS6E12FlutterBrutter Zephyr Breeze]], whose pony counterpart is ''already'' a base breaker.

Related to this, fan demand for a full ''Equestria Girls'' spin-off show has been around for a few years now. Either you think this series is that spin-off and like it as such, find it to be a waste of potential for a full show that could have been made with these ideas, or are grateful the series didn't get a full spin-off because these specials prove it wouldn't have been able to work.
