Needless to say, a number of fans didn't exactly buy it.

On-screen, Nathalie is mostly seen weeping over Emilie's video of her being unable to do something to stop Gabriel.
** Many consider Félix's DarkAndTroubledPast to be weak and uninspiring since ''Miraculous Ladybug'' already has a character who has a situation similar to his, with some of them feeling that the narrative doesn't excuse the bad attitude as being due to their bad parents. To elaborate, this stems from two main issues: 1. Most of his backstory in "Representation" is comes from Félix's perspective. While he seems honest in describing his father's maliciousness, since Félix is good at twisting his words, making fans feels he is still an UnreliableNarrator 2. Even if Colt indeed AbusiveParents, we still have no idea how vile Colt was since he was already long dead, making fans feel Colt's existence is just to excuse Gabriel's behavior as justifiable to take full control on Adrien due to out-of-love instead see Gabriel action's as emotionally abusive and manipulative father.
** Fans also see André Bourgeois's confession in "Collusion" as this. His unwillingness to be Mayor and give up his career of making a movie to please his horrid wife and bratty daughter is being considered to be a weak and pathetic FreudianExcuse and makes him look like a whiny ManChild. Him calling Chloé, his own biological daughter as "heartless", making André even more unsympathetic due to his refusal to realize her worsening attitude is comes from his parenting, since he is the one who solely raised Chloé into a SpoiledBrat during Audrey's absence.

Although most of her fans didn't expect her to be an instant AllLovingHero on her "redemption arc", the majority of them like to make Chloé/Queen Bee a neutral AntiHero and {{Foil}} for Marinette/Ladybug in some Fanfiction [=AU=]s where she got a proper redemption arc to balance the dynamic on Miraculous Team. * VanillaProtagonist: The protagonist Marinette is a normal CuteClumsyGirl who has a fairly good life, and even her worst problems (being picked on by the school's AlphaBitch, being unable to confess her feelings to a boy) are not that bad compared to other troubled characters, like the deuteragonist Adrien (BrokenAce with a sad and lonely backstory, a MissingMom, and an abusive father who is secretly the main supervillain of the show), or AlphaBitch Chloé (who has terrible parents, wants to be loved by her abusive mother, and pre-season 4 Chloé also has HiddenDepths and has proven that she can be a hero, if still a very flawed AntiHero).

Season 3 introduced five more with Luka/Viperion, Kagami/Ryuko, Max/Pegasus, Alix/Bunnix, and Kim/King Monkey. It wasn't too bad here, although Party Crasher was considered to be a very weak episode. Season 4 would be when fans would start to put their foot down as no more than eight new heroes were introduced, with half of them debuting in the same episode and not even having time for transformation sequences to boot. Zoé is also considered a sour spot as she automatically becomes a hero one episode after her debut episode despite other characters being around for seasons longer.
