* GeniusBonus: Agent W is undercover as Andy Warhol. He begs to be reassigned and K says he'll see what he can do. We never find out if he was ever let go, but Andy Warhol didn't die until 1987, 18 years later.

** It’s also funny that Agent K’s objective in this film is to prevent an alien invasion from occurring on Earth, considering that Brolin would later go on to portray one of the most [[ComicBook/{{Thanos}} iconic aliens in comic book history]], whose forces [[Film/TheAvengers2012 invade Earth]] [[Film/AvengersInfinityWar more than]] [[Film/AvengersEndgame once]].

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: The poster for the film shows Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, and Josh Brolin in the same place at once and gives all three the highest billing, which might give the impression that the film involves J and both Ks eventually teaming up as a trio. In the film proper, past K never gets to meet present K, and Tommy Lee Jones disappears after the first act until the ending.

* HilariousInHindsight: Creator/JoshBrolin’s character centers around a plot that involves time traveling to the past in order to prevent a BadFuture caused by an AxeCrazy BloodKnight. Are we talking about Agent K or [[Film/Deadpool2 Cable]]?

* HarsherInHindsight: Agent Zed's funeral becomes this after the death of Creator/RipTorn in 2019.
