**The implication seems to be that [[spoiler: the four shadowy figures are the four demons we see taking the kids. The game is more for them than the actual children, so the countdown is for the game to start and they run off to hunt down the newest batch of kid entering the maze]]

Hey Its That Guy cut by TRS decision. Ditto for Hey Its That Voice.

* HeyItsThatVoice: The dub contains voice actors from numerous companies, including one boy, Suku (the small boy with the big red scarf), played by Creator/VeronicaTaylor. [[{{Anime/Pokemon}} No, he doesn't catch anything]] even though he sounds eerily similar to the franchise's protagonist.
** Veronica Taylor [[TalkingToHimself also voices]] Sorincha... er, at least who we think is Sorincha. And [[{{Anime/Pokemon}} May]] just got scary since you can hear a bit of her voice in there too.
** Not to mention '''[[DanGreen DAN GREEN]]''' as Yaimao.

** Oh, and do not play it in old abandoned towns or cities after dark, with masks on.

* ExecutiveMeddling: In the original script, the losing children were killed and horribly devoured by the demons, but the higher-ups thought it was too horrific even by the short's standard...Ironically, the ending they ''did'' approve of was more disturbing.

It was decided on Ask The Tropers to nuke any mention of Needs More Love on main and YMMV pages. Besides, this is a Zero Context Example.

Nightmare Fuel

* NightmareFuel: Just because it stars kids doesn't mean it was meant for them. Hoo boy.

You COULD, but only four children are seen/heard, and the rules clearly state seven new players must be gathered. Also, the scene is a \'\'lot\'\' different from when the new players are initially gathered—the fifth doesn\'t need to count and the kids are running off to hide rather than just wandering around, for starters...

** [[spoiler:You could assume that they are the kids Hikkora gathered for the next game, couldn't you?]]

* {{Ensemble Darkhorse}}: The twins, Inmu and Yanku, don’t speak and the viewers are never told anything about their past or lives in general and yet they are rather popular with fans.

* ViewerGenderConfusion: The twins. It's kinda hard to tell their gender, especially since you can't see their faces, and they never say anything in the entire short. But WordOfGod says they're [[spoiler:boys.]]
