*** Hell, the reveal is actually open enough to invite delving more into it. Are all the Cenobites [[spoiler: former humans, or only some? And either way, how does it happen? Is it really just the Leviathan configuration, or is seeking a gift more than once? Or perhaps all the configurations can lead to it, and the whole purpose of the box is a SecretTestOfCharacter to find people who impress them enough to turn them into Cenobites? And if all the Cenobites were formerly human, hos was the first one born?]]

* SugarWiki/SheReallyCanAct: Jamie Clayton as Pinhead absolutely nails the character and provides her own spin separate from Doug Bradley's iconic performance, infusing the character with incredible magnetism and seductive charisma as well as terrifying sadism and even a ''very'' dark sense of humor and some sympathetic moments. Even those who didn't like the film had nothing but praise for her performance.

* EvilIsSexy:
** Many online were taken with Pinhead's new look, especially her voice, and Jamie Clayton's considerable charisma in the part. This is of course despite the fact she's a sadistic Cenobite.
** Roland Voight is played by the attractive Goran Višnjić, who is quite easy on the eyes and wears a dapper suit. This is in spite of the fact he's introduced sacrificing a male sex worker in the prologue [[spoiler: and later appears somewhat worse for wear, after spending six years with a torture device shoved through his torso]].

* CompleteMonster:
** [[TheHedonist Roland Voight]] is a hedonistic millionaire who seeks to experience every sensation and pleasure. Discovering the Configuration Box, Voight bargains with the Cenobites, giving them innocent souls in return for the ultimate sensation. Through this, Voight has countless people [[HumanSacrifice sacrificed]], having them suffering [[CruelAndUnusualDeath horrific deaths via mutilation]]. "Rewarded" by the Cenobites by being fused to a contraption, Voight plans to have them trapped within a labyrinth for his freedom. Hiring a thief named Trevor, Voight has him lure countless people to be mutilated and dragged off by the Cenobites. Voight's hedonistic desires stem from a sense of power over others, and he stands out as [[HumansAreTheRealMonsters vile than the Cenobites themselves]].
** [[FromNobodyToNightmare Trevor]] is a former thief and petty criminal who escalates to something far worse. Aligning himself with Voight, Trevor manipulates countless innocents to be mutilated for eternity by the Cenobites as a part of Voight's ploy to trap them. [[BitchInSheepsClothing Feigning love for Riley]], with the agenda of sacrificing her, Trevor inadvertently ends up costing the lives of Riley's brother, later purposely causing the deaths of Nora and Colin.

** Many online were taken with Pinhead's new look, especially her voice. This is of course despite the fact she's a sadistic Cenobite.

* FanficFuel: We see first-hand what happens when one chooses "Life", "Sensation" and "Power" when asking for a blessing from Leviathan. While we can only assume they would be just as gruesome as what happened to [[spoiler: Voight]] when he asked for "Sensation" and "Power", what happens when one asks for "Knowledge", "Love" or "Resurrection"?

* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: While the digital effects can be rough at times, the practical effect are ''insane'', specifically the new Cenobite designs.

* TheWoobie: [[spoiler:Nora]]. Probably the most chill member of the group, they are especially sensitive [[spoiler: when the group discover Riley in Voight's manor, even telling Trevor that the group never really drinks when Riley is around. She's later stabbed by Voight with the puzzle box, resulting in a sort of drunken haze until the Cenobites finally present themselves to her, stringing her up with chains and torturing her with pins]].

* FridgeBrilliance:
** The glossy look the Cenobites now have may look a little goofy. However, they also add more light to the design, which makes the description, "Demons to some. Angels to others," all the more fitting.
*** Another quote, "We have such sights to show you," is given added meaning by the end where [[spoiler:Voight is exposed to Leviathan's insides and becomes a Cenobite himself]]. Of course that saying would be saved for such an occasion, it's the Cenobites chance to [[spoiler:give their victims a glimpse at their god]].
** The original Cenobites were inspired by the Fetish community of the 1980s, with a focus on leather and bondage gear. The new designs are more in line with extreme body modification sub-cultures, such as Modern Primitive, focusing on cosmetic alterations and decorative piercings.
** [[spoiler:Trevor originally met Riley through a 12-step programme, and it's later revealed that he was working for Voight the whole time to find victims for the puzzle box. Recovering addicts would be ideal targets, as their disappearance without a trace could very easily be blamed on them relapsing]].
* FridgeHorror:
** The puzzle box is the perfect gift for a remorseless serial killer. One could select enough victims to complete all the configurations and summon the leviathan. The victims would disappear, leaving the killer to avoid any punishment. Finally, they could get away scot-free if they selected the Lament reward, or they could choose the Leviathan reward and become a Cenobite themselves.
** While [[spoiler:Colin]] is running from the Cenobites, he encounters a ''pregnant'' Cenobite. Just what the hell happened to that person that resulted in them becoming pregnant? Or, if you want to delve into {{Squick}} territory, was the baby there before or [[spoiler:after the Cenobite transformation?]]

*** When she [[spoiler:details the "Lament" reward to Riley. Is she giving TheReasonYouSuckSpeech of her own whim? Or is she hoping to guilt trip Riley into eventually regretting her decision, leading to [[HereWeGoAgain another set of sacrifices for her to reap?]]]]
*** [[spoiler:Or, perhaps, refusing any reward was a SecretTestOfCharacter and she considers Riley a WorthyOpponent for it? At one point, she was willing to use herself as bait. That is something neither Voight nor Trevor ever considers.]]

** Is Voight really TooDumbToLive by [[spoiler:arranging a second audience with Leviathan, or does he just believe (incorrectly) that [[GodzillaThreshold he has nothing left to lose and anything would be an improvement over his current situation]]? He does flat-out tell the Priest that "Anything is better than this" when asking to return his "gift."]]
