Renamed one trope.

* QuestionableCasting: Fans have voiced their concern towards Netflix for casting Creator/RobinPadilla--who played the role of a mongrel named Roger--as Padilla is a staunch supporter of Rodrigo Duterte, with some demanding him to be replaced with a different actor.

YMMV can't be played with.

* ClicheStorm: PlayedWith. The movie is clearly satirizing popular and repetitive melodrama tropes that are frustratingly ubiquitous in Filipino soap operas by exaggerating them through the unlimited possibilities of animation. That being said, the movie still takes the LoveTriangle story line so straight that it became a StealthParody for some.

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: As the movie goes on, it gets a bit more difficult to feel for Nimfa once she unapologetically cheats on Roger with Iñigo. Sure, Roger is shown to be a bit of a flake, but he still does his best to wine and dine her with what little money he's got. Then there's her treatment of Jhermelyn, her best friend, which looks rather mean-spirited when Nimfa rubs their relationship on her face, unbeknownst to the fact that Jhermelyn has been feeling like a third wheel. Her subsequent break-up with Roger comes off as petty and unreasonable as a result. This is rightfully lampshaded by Papa George when she rings him up for some advice and tells him all about the events that led to this.

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: As the movie goes on, it gets a bit more difficult to feel for Nimfa once she unapologetically cheats on Roger with Iñigo. Not helping is that her reasons for doing this is so she could have a more comfortable life, and even if Roger is shown to be a bit of a flake, he still does his best to wine and dine her with what little money he's got. During their fight, Nimfa comes off as a bit of a brat by complaining that they eat the same thing over and over again, which Roger then spits back by telling her she has unrealistic expectations and doesn't know how to be content. [[spoiler: Her getting mad at Jhermelyn for shacking up with Roger also comes off as unreasonable since she knows fully well that her best friend would hop on her boyfriend on the event that they break up (though in Nimfa's end, she might've thought that her friend was just joking, but still).]] This is rightfully lampshaded by Papa George when she rings him up for some advice.
