* ValuesDissonance:
** After acting like a rabbit at his board meeting, Elmer is instantly checked into the Fruitcake Sanitarium (which displays the slogan “It’s full of nuts!”). Although, [[TimeMarchesOn given what we now know]] about the abuses in American mental institutions prior to the 1970s, Elmer (and Bugs) probably got off lucky.
** After the high-profile corporate scandals of companies like Enron and Worldcom in the 2000's, the idea of Elmer Fudd as a CorruptCorporateExecutive avoiding federal prison through deception and manipulation is far more realistic than it would've been in 1955.
* ValuesResonance: Dr. Myicin’s methods and role in “Elmer’s” recovery (with the aid of drugs), which were a TakeThat to [[AllPsychologyIsFreudian commonly held beliefs about psychoanalysis]] in the 1950s, are rightfully framed as being harmful to Bugs and his mental state.

* TimeMarchesOn: Elmer’s plan. While it would certainly be possible today to get himself removed from his company’s board of directors (if he’s outvoted), said plan would hit a snag in getting himself (involuntarily) committed to a sanitarium. This is thanks to a 1975 Supreme Court ruling that stated a person cannot be involuntarily committed unless they are an (unprovoked) danger to themselves and others.

* MagnificentBastard: [[WesternAnimation/ElmerFudd Elmer J. Fudd]], [[AdaptationalIntelligence reimagined here]] as an "eccentric Millionaire", seeks to avoid paying for his taxes. To this end, he fakes being insane by pretending to be a rabbit and gets sent to a sanitarium, where he tricks a nearby WesternAnimation/BugsBunny into taking his place while he escapes, leaving Bugs to be hypnotized into thinking he's Elmer. Upon being hunted by Bugs, Elmer manages to stay one step ahead of the hunter before Bugs is arrested for tax fraud, [[TeamRocketWins scoring one of the character's few victories against Bugs]].
