* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Brienne's "revenge" on Stannis last season itself struck some viewers as petty and unheroic. Here she takes it further by [[WouldYouLikeToHearHowTheyDied taunting]] Davos and Melisandre about it, which is especially hypocritical since her own affinity for Renly, Catelyn, and Jaime is all founded solely on the same BecauseYouWereNiceToMe as Davos' loyalty to Stannis.

* AuthorsSavingThrow: Those upset with Sansa's [[GratuitousRape treatment]] in the previous season probably found it cathartic here that she is now taking the initiative into trying to retake Winterfell. In particular, her reading the part of the letter where Ramsay threatens to rape her to death comes off as a direct attempt to refute Sansa becoming a pure victim again.

Many fans as always debatable. Whats not debatable is the a lot of Stannis fans gave up on him when he allowed fan favourite Sheiree to burn. Who looked elseware for someone worthy to take the throne and were most likely not bothered by his death.
