** The animation of season one was rough due to TroubledProduction, and it was the focus of many complaints from bronies. The animation of season two is more polished.
** The original English dub, consisting of three random episodes, featured poor voice acting and lip syncing, among other glaring issues. When the series was eventually released in English properly in Singapore, it aired with a much more improved and finalized dub, with all 26 episodes. The former English dub was most likely a demo.
** The episodes being aired OutOfOrder was a source of confusion. The Singapore airing restores them to a proper order.

The first episode is about Bella accidentally eating one of her friends' cupcakes, much to the confusion of so many people who were just starting the show. It isn't until the ''second season'', the first episode of which acts out as the first episode of the show (no flashbacks involved), that some kind of explanation for a few things is given: Rose, along with the rest of her friends who she's apparently already known at this point, move into the academy, and a proper enough introduction to the series villain Wranglum is shown. Though it should be obvious by now that this wasn't deliberate, the show's major TroubledProduction caused for the show's episode order to be incredibly messed up.
** This has since been fixed when Singapore started airing all 26 episodes in their own, uniform order.

** Due to being the first dub we ever officially got, plus the voices generally being better (namely Wranglum's), people vastly preferred the Italian dub to the English version simply based on the latter's ''[[https://vimeo.com/359568880 trailer]]''. People weren't fond of the older English trailers either. Those that have grown accustomed to the Italian dub dreaded the day we ever got a full English version, especially with ''those'' voices. Turns out they might have been justified, as the actual English version ended up sounding a lot more like a poor placeholder, with missing lines and unenthused voices, making it sound very unprofessional.
** The Singapore dub has a completely new English dub that is far superior to the original. It's also actually aired in the original intended order.
