Fans had an expectation of something like ''Ride/{{Jaws}}'' or ''Ride/{{Kongfrontation}}'', rides based off of parts of the Studio Tour but greatly expanded upon. Furthermore, unlike the Studio Tour, ''Supercharged'' was not limited by the constraints of being part of a tram tour and the motion effects of the party bus could have been ramped up to be a lot more exciting instead of remaining the same as the Hollywood version.

Heck some detractors have even stated even ''[[VideoGame/FastAndFuriousCrossroads Crossroads]]'', the heavily lambasted video game of the series, looked much more realistic than the ride.

** One thing most people criticize is that, for a series that started off about illegal street racing and has been a staple of it even it moved away from it, that aspect oddly wasn't made to be part of the ride itself. And could've been incorporated into the story such as the party bus going to a race Dom, Letty and Roman were participating in and driving alongside the race before Shaw and his men show up to crash it. Leading into the chase proper which would've been truer to the spirit of the franchise. Instead said race happens afterward and your just arriving to the afterparty.
** Likewise a few wonder why it hasn't been updated either considering 1) [[spoiler: Owen Shaw becomes an ally in ''Fate of the Furious'' which makes the ride's story horrendous outdated, even by the time it opened (Owen was being hospitalized after the events of 6 to which his brother Deckard had tried to avenge him)]] and 2) Cipher, who was revealed to be the main BigBad behind Owen and Jakade of ''Furious 7'' and would be a much better threat then Owen for the ride since Dom has personal beef with her.

It's less a ride and more a expensive 360 [=FMV=].
